I had an episode last week where I woke up stiff as a board and my speech was shaking. I got an overwhelming feeling that something was wrong. My spouse drove me to the local clinic and I went to sign in and I couldn’t understand what was on the paper. I could barely read and I couldn’t remember my birthday or address. Meanwhile, I would start violently shaking every time I tried to move my head. They called an ambulance and the ER gave me a muscle relaxer. Once the stiffness disappeared my neck was in full spasm and I was had tremors all over. I couldn’t stay still, couldn’t speak straight. I couldn’t remember the name of the clinic I just came from, that we use for everything. I was having horrific pins and needles in my spine and shoulders. They told me I had torticollis in my neck, sent me home with muscle relaxers and anti inflammatories and told me to see a chiropractor (I go to the chiro regularly) My spouse had to hold me up because I couldn’t walk by myself. Didn’t give me a wheelchair or anything. Just a muscle spasm. They acted like a muscle spasm will cause you to forget your birthday. I’m pretty livid hearing this, knowing how bad I was, that they just let me go.
