So instead you give the card to somebody else, turn around 360 degrees, and yank the strap and tie it around your waist. The person holding the card is supposed to grab the card firmly, so the strap can be yanked away. If they don't, the non-sterile card will be yanked along and contaminate everything.

Nothing wrong with being picky when your body's on the line. One of the other most powerful recommendations you can get is word of mouth from other professionals. With all due respect Dr. Glaucomflecken, I'm going to need you to define "accomplished" in relation to the lore. Although Cardiology has more publications and golden trinkets, the training that Neurology and Neurosurgery had to endure is far more intense. Understanding the brain requires a mastery of knowledge that far exceeds the requirements for understanding the other, lower organs. Had they chosen a field for peasants (like Cardiology), I'm confident that they'd have a far greater body of "accomplishments." ... at least that's what I think Neurology would say, and he's one of my favorite characters. : )

As an EEG tech, most odd behaviour/low GCS in patients is caused by something other than seizure activity. The diffuse encephalopathy is extremely common. There might be sharp waves in the mix, but those can often also be attributed to the metabolic stuff. Growing up we had a family friend who is one of the most prominent neurosurgeons in our country as was his father. He was one of the coolest persons at the parties our parents went to. However most of the times he had to call from the phone wherever the party was and an hour or so the phone always rang so he had to go :) Bottomline i always had the impression that the neurosurgeons are the cool kids of medicine, but they are just awfully busy ... not like here :) i'll send him this one ;)

From your older videos we know that the Neurologist has a younger brother, who is a Cardiologist. And their father is a Neurologist too. Now we know, that he has another (older?) brother too, who is a Neurosurgeon

I wonder if the neurologist is friends with nephrology just to piss of his lil brother. I also wonder if the mother is a geneticist and all 3 brothers are actually made in a lab.

Dr Glaucomflecken encouraged me to feel more positive towards doctors again. He is well aware of the flaws of the system and the flaws of some collegues. Some people should just not be doctors or involved in medical decisions. But some should! Like Dr Glaucomflecken 😇
