I’m in 11th class in Germany and I have to write seminar paper (of 15 pages) in Neurophysiology so I decided to write about Brain haemorrhage, I started researching and collecting information and so on... today I found this video! I thought OMG 😆 I can just translate what you’re saying into German and get my A* ( am not going to do that of course) THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH you are an AMAZING lifesaver 🥺😁😁

I fell recently and suffered a subdural hematoma. I had to spend the night in the hospital because of the bleeding they were seeing in my CT scan, but fortunately the next morning my CT scan was ok and I went home. They kept telling me when I was in the hospital if it got any worse they would have to do a procedure to me, but no one would tell me exactly what that would be. Watching this video, I finally found out. Thank you! Hopefully, I will not do this again but at least I will be able to prepare myself mentally for whatever they have to do. I worried all night in the hospital about what they would have to do, lol. If they had just told me, I could have slept.

Thanks for your effort. I am neurosurgeon from Türkiye. I do not recommend using mannitol in a patient with epidural hematoma. Mannitol can increase epidural hematoma volume.
@olayinkaoluwatoba78404 жыл бұрын
Hi Dr, Can you explain why? I know it does increase the systemic volume and that is why it is contraindicating in pulmonary edema.
@bhavyarajsinghyadav55484 жыл бұрын
In epidural hematoma we recommend surgery most of the times as an major artery like middle meningeal artery is damaged , so we do a burr hole surgery, otherwise the compression force of the accumulated blood will further compress the brain parenchyma, ventricles leading to hydrocephalus,focal neurological deficits and 3rd nerve palsy as epidural hematoma is quiet restricted to the sutures.
