Why would we have the medial longitudinal faciculus in the level of sensory decussation? The vestibular neucli is above it and the vestibulospinal tract is already formed. Why would we see it here??
@amandasoderholm5634
@amandasoderholm5634 3 жыл бұрын
I think that the medial longitudinal fasciculus (MLF) has Descending fibers aswell. It seems like (according to images from google haha) that MLF both have ascending fibers that synapses with the CN III, IV, VI nuclei - but also Descending fibers that, according to the image I look at goes to "Cervical spinal cord for adjustment for head position". (Sorry for my messy explanation haha)
@amandasoderholm5634
@amandasoderholm5634 3 жыл бұрын
Correction: "Cervical spinal cord for adjustment of head position"*
@amandasoderholm5634
@amandasoderholm5634 3 жыл бұрын
And MAYBE there are some ascending MLF fibers from the medial and inferior vestibular nuclei, that can be seen in cross sections of the medulla (the rostral part...), but that might just be me overthinking it haha...
