Trochlear nerve- At the level of inferior oblique. Other structure same as CN 3 but this nerve Crosses. Longest course in cranial cavity Same course as CN 3. And it runs on nasal aspect of orbital cavity Attached Superior lateral posterior. Function- Intorsion of eye ball Depress eye ball Lateral rotation. Lesion- Extorsion and upper eyelid.side. Visual field- normal by moving head to unaffected side. Ica aneurysm Pca Meningitis Trauma. Thank you sir

We have a situation here where a young man was brutally attacked. His trochlear nerve was damaged. He presents exactly as you describe. I had an anterior communicating artery aneurysm rupture which caused an extensive brain haemorrhage I was flown to Melbourne for coiling. I’ve been told that My 4th cranial nerve is damaged. 4th nerve palsy. I have double vision and depth perception issues that cause constant nausea and injuries due to crashing into things.

Superior oblique rotates the eye medially, doesn't it?. In that wat trochlear nerve palsy would lead to eye being lateraly rotated.

nah, he was wrong, it rotates the eyeball medially, so the palsy is actually correct. The mistake was before.
