Great review! Neuromancer is probably my most reread book (just finished my fifth go) and each time is like WHOA WOW WHAT. Also :"He never saw Molly again" is a callback to The Big Sleep's last line - "...and I never saw her again." Makes it even better and more poignant, I think. I read them both around the same time and was so chuffed to see that echo in Neuromancer.

I may need to try this one again. I read it some time ago and thought it was fine, but I wonder if I simply didn’t have the necessary background or exposure to concepts to fully understand it.

I'd be interested to see what youngest think of Daniel Keys Moran's The Long Run. To me, it seems to be a lot like Neuromancer, but also very much it's own thing.
