Wow, what a nice track. Also nice to se Impulse Tracker in action. I made music in FastTracker2 but came across tracks made in other trackers but never knew how they looked like. Since I started uploading my old files I got so many good recommendation in my YT feed. Will definitely subscribe and listen to more. :)

Thanks YT algo for showing me your video. Impulse Tracker image and *goa* made me click,.... and push like button! 4:51 starts my prefered part I miss these times when we were happy with our 8 bit granulized samples raving on a PC 😅 I was more a FastTracker dude, started around 95-96 on a 486 - Thank you Paul!

Thanks for listening 🙂 and yeah, there was something a bit magical about the apparent simplicity of trackers back then. "Apparent" of course because at least with IT once you started digging deeper you could do quite complex things too.

Does this have any relation to 4/20 or was the timing of this simply coincidence?
@pauleye.official6 ай бұрын
I've been posting these on saturdays so it was just a coincindence.

Listen, you say that you made recordings in 1999. How did you keep them for so many years and not lose them?
@pauleye.official6 ай бұрын
Well, when I made these tracks in 98-99, no "recording" was involved (tracker files contain the samples used and the sequencing data). All that I've needed to keep all these years are the impulse tracker files (and the program itself). There's a technical rundown on how I made these videos in the description of the first of these videos I uploaded (Time Traveller) if you're interested in some geeky details 🙂
