Neuroscience & AI (with Paulo Nunes & Ferenc Acs)

In the end, this means you will have nearly 100 minutes of a great, funny, philosophical and very insightful conversation. And this is only possible because Ferenc Acs is our special guest for this one.
Ferenc is an AI enthusiast, practitioner and expert. He helps companies apply AI in their operations. And what’s more curious is that it has been built on a very unusual academic background: Psychology and Neuroscience, in which Ferenc has a PhD from the University of Regensburg. Ferenc has had a very interesting and diverse career so far. Researcher, startup entrepreneur, business psychologist, lecturer, Chief Architect at a tech company, and has been with Mercedes-Benz Consulting for the last few years, where he is a Management Consultant for AI.
Paulo Nunes (CEO at Two Impulse), host for this episode, opens up with the big bomb right away: What’s intelligence and how much of it is there in AI? As you would probably expect, Large Language Models and ChatGPT are immediately a very relevant part of the conversation. But it does not stop there, Advances & breakthroughs in AI are also a big topic, as it is the discussion of a few personal experiences and even comparisons with human intelligence. That leads us into a couple of very interesting topics. The first is about the Turing test, where ChatGPT is once again under the spotlight. The other is singularity, what does it mean and when it could be achieved. The discussion also covers real applications of these AI systems, as well as the dangers and consequences. Before leaving us, Ferenc also has time to go over advice he gives to clients nowadays.
