@@WatchItPlayed Very true! I'm wondering if you've discovered a game called 'Zuuli'? (Not sure if it's available across the pond yet, I'm in the UK) It's a card drafting game for 1-6 players. You're trying to build the best zoo to score the most points. There are different enclosures with different habitats (grasslands, plains and water) and only certain animals can go in them. Each animal has a different scoring bonus. Some can live with other animals if they're friendly, but if they're fierce they must be kept only with their own species unless they're 'well fed'. At first glance it looks cute and cartoony but it's a lot more strategic than it first seems. In the solo mode you play against 'The Collector' who doesn't care about enclosures, they just want as many animals as possible and score off those plus the habitat type bonus varies for each of the 3 rounds. If you have any trouble getting hold of it I'll be happy to help since you've helped out with so many rule explanations :)

Fizzy, I was going to tell you not to worry about that, because I always find myself with a few more games than I can ever get to playing (sometimes more than a few), but I did take a look at it on BGG just now, and from what I can see of it, it looks really interesting! Funny enough, I'll be in the UK for AireCon in March, so maybe I can track a copy down then.

Bought this game yesterday after watching the video. Easy to learn and very fun! I really like the rules in the game as well, there's tons of variations. For instance, if you feel drawing 3 tiles is too random the rules say you can instead draw up to a hand of 6 tiles, creating a much more tactical experience, since on your turn you have a lot more options to choose from. There's also lots of different ways to play the game when playing with 3 or 4 players. Great buy!

Just played this we. What a game, easy to teach and learn, easy to setup but still full of tactics and action.. And, oh boy, when a battle start? it's a Blood (or metal juice for moloch) bath. My last game with firend, Moloch vs Hagemony, ended with a draw, so close!! Ty for your tutorial videos, so clean and usefull! Watch out for a "battle" tile!!!

+Watch It Played Hi Rodney - honestly, you should just monetise your videos in my opinion. Why not? It's not much of a pain for people who don't want to watch them, occasionally they are actually relevant to the content, and people who really don't like them will soon be able to subscribe to KZbin Red (I think?) and avoid them altoogether but you still get your cut. I don't see the downside personally.

In your example for the armor attribute at 13:13, both blue units have an initiative of 3 so they will attack at the same time, and one of them was ranged. Would the ranged unit be able to attack the 2nd red unit in line since the blue melee unit had destroyed the red armored one that was in front? Since all combat is simultaneous, would you be able to have the blue melee unit attack the red armored unit, destroying it, then have the blue ranged unit attack the remaining red one? Great video, as always.

Stephen Zipprich In that example, when I later add the second blue unit to the table, here's how that situation would work. First, you resolve all attacks within an initiative level before removing casualties. So even if that blue unit could melee the armored unit to death, it would still be on the board during the ranged blue's attack, blocking its damage. To complicate things further, the red armored unit has 2 toughness symbols on it, so it wouldn't be defeated by the melee unit anyways. It will take 3 wounds total, to defeat it. To keep going, during initiative level 2, the red ranged unit will attack, defeating the blue melee unit (which would be removed after all level 2 attacks have been resolved).

I've never played Neuroshima Hex before but I know that there are many expansions for the game! My question is are they all fully compatible with each other or are there only certain ones that work with the 3.0 version? This game looks fun and am interested to try it!

@6:43 I cannot find this rule in the rulebook at all. The app does not support this rule, which was very frustrating to me because I expected it to be part of the game as I learned to play off this video, but from what I can tell this is one of those rules that just managed to magically appear without having any foundation in the game itself.

Thanks for checking out the video! It's definitely the 3.0 version of the game that I'm showing here. The life dials are shown and mentioned at 2:04 in the video. I chose to use the track while teaching the game though. The solo mode is also mentioned at 19:04, though I don't go into details on how it works. I usually leave solo modes or game variants for the viewers to discover on their own!
