Probably are told not publicly assume anything worse than a concussion live for the sake of the sports image. Nobody cares about the safety of players

I have epilepsy, adhd, ptsd and a TBI from a near fatal car accident. I woke up from a coma on 1200mg of neurontin 3 times a day. I’m so afraid of being on this medication. I’ve been a nurse for over 20 years and know if I ever have to come off of it, it’s going to be awful. My car accident was due to a seizure. I had 3 weeks with the inability to form or make new memories. Amnesia-essentially. I functioned, I’ve been told. I was oriented to person & family but confused otherwise. I went undiagnosed until I was 28 & found the definition of a focal aware seizure on GOOGLE. I had described my seizures to muuultiple doctors, including a well renowned neurosurgeon. No one knew what they were. I described them since I was in nursing school 8 years before diagnosis. I was pregnant when I was diagnosed bc after I found that definition, I insisted on an eeg. It was abnormal & started meds when my son was born. My first grand mal was when I was 31. My last was the car accident. I don’t even have a neurologist, right now. Only saw an epileptologist once, after my first grand mal. This TBI has not helped at all. Every day is hard.

I might’ve just completely zoned out while watching this but I think I was hoping more for a diagnosis, potential future repercussions because of his injury (what’ll happen if he doesn’t stop playing), and maybe just some advice

His doctor is urging him to hang up the cleats. Question, if you work with it can you do a video on post concussive syndrome? Ive developed it snd for several yrs now im almost constantly feeling like i have a concussion and id like to learn more on it!

Ive heard CTE is extremely common with multiple concussuions and a decent amount of nfl players develop it.

@@ZiggySmallsss yeah that's not quite the same as the post concussive syndrome. I'm not getting repetitive concussions I just feel like i am. But CTE sounds terrifying

@@ZiggySmallsss it's Definitely abitchand a half to deal with. I still have stutters, visual dot appearances in the corner of my eyes, and bad short term memory loss, I also deal with terrible migraines that can last up to like 5 days. Its definitely no fun. But thank you! That's the hope, I just haven't been able to make it to the specialist due to life getting in the way lol. Hope you have a good day!

@@stephanieann6622 a brain scan wouldnt hurt im sure, a friend of mine has similar issues after a concussion a few years ago. I got him one of those cooling head wraps for migraines and he seems to enjoy it. An ya life does have a way of doing that, you as well happy new year

You mentioned epilepsy, so I have a question I haven’t been able to get an answer on. So I have a rare autoimmune disease called Behcets Disease. And I was diagnosed with epilepsy and undiagnosed then rediagnosed again 3 separate times. Could brain inflammation cause acute epilepsy? I’ve had many seizures but it’s not an everyday thing it seems to only happen when I have flare ups from my disorder. I have other neuro symptoms with my disease and I apparently have quite a few at once on both sides in the temporal regions. I haven’t had a grandmal seizure yet that I know of but they seem to be getting worse each time I have them. Epileptic medications so far have either made them worse or caused me severe mental health spirals and worsened symptoms in that front. My neurologist was very confused and said he had no idea what was causing my seizures.

Epileptic here. I feel like the staff should’ve rolled him on his side and follow seizure protocol just to be safe.

They probably didn't know if he had damage to his spine, so that is why.
