Salam It does not affect you at all where you studied from in MOST CASES. Especially in more non competitive specialties. Just focus on your medschool grades,your usmle scores and your research! Work on your CV and apply knowing your limitiations. Watch as many KZbin videos regarding these topics as possible

I don't think you can do Neurosurgery as a fellowship but some do prelim surgery and then apply to Neurosurgery. The different paths are discussed in the next episode. Make sure to subscribe so you don't miss it.

@@MalkeAsaad I am working as spine surgeon in India after orthopedic surgery residency. Already did USMLE and PGY gen surgery at Chicago in year 2010. How competitive it is to try for neurological surgery at this stage.
