An absolutely great record... Unfortunately events conspired against them... They were involved in a serious life-threatening traffic accident... When they all eventually recovered, it coincided with the Sex Pistols reforming for the 'Filthy Lucre' tour and obviously Steve Jones had to take the huge money for that.... They never got together again after that, which is a shame because this album promised so much more great things to come.... It's one of my favourite LPs...

Hay muchas bandas que pasaron sin dejar rastros, SPONGE es otro ejemplo, en particular el album ROTTING PIÑATA. En el 96 ya habia comenzado el principio del fin para este tipo de bandas y música , por lo menos desde lo comercial. MTV se transformo en una verga y empezó a surgir la basura que se escucha actualmente.

I only discovered this LP a few weeks ago, after reading an interview with Steve Jones in Punk'd magazine... I've not stopped listening to it since and it's now one of my favourite records ever... Total supergroup - Jonesy (always the driving force in the Sex Pistols, with his amazing gun-shot riffs), two Guns n Roses members - Matt Sorum & Duff McKagan (great drumming and heavy guitar), and pretty boy John Taylor from Duran Duran (an under rated bass guitarist who Steve Jones stated he has massive respect for). The snare drum that you see in my profile picture, is the actual snare drum that Matt Sorum played on several of the tracks in the recording of this album. Yes, I can prove it.

Aj Olivera Matt sold me the snare drum (unknowingly) in 2010 after a four year search for it. I wanted it because of what it was. It's a one of a kind Peavey snare drum that was made from Koa wood (a Hawaiian exotic). He thought he was selling it to a girl, who actually was buying it for me. Matt apparently didn't know what it was, and I got it cheap. Later, I wrote Matt on a whim (via Twitter) asking if he recognized the snare in my profile pic. Amazingly, he replied within two minutes, "Yes I do. Mine?" (Which kinda freaked me out!). Later I sent Matt the link to the story I wrote about how I got the drum. He replied that he played it on this album. I have LOTS of screen shots of our twitter conversations. Matt was the second drummer to play this snare. You wouldn't believe who had it first!

Aj Olivera The guy who invented the Peavey Radial Bridge System drums is Steven Volpp, who was a HUGE fan of Van Halen growing up. When Steven unveiled the Radial Pro drum program, he was intent on bringing Alex into the Peavey endorsee family. After some negotiations, Steven agreed to personally deliver the kit (that included the koa snare), to brother Eddie's home (this is what Steven told me in a phone conversation I had with him). Well, the endorsement deal went sour, and Peavey took ONLY the snare drum back (because it was special), and was given to Matt at the 1995 N.A.M.M trade show in Los Angeles. You can see Alex playing this kit in the Van Halen video, "Don't Tell Me what Love can Do" (google it).
