current have a tendency to flow in low resistance path, hence fault current will have to find a path which offers low resistance as compared to ngr and hence it will protect the transformer.

Sir you tell me one thing, suppose your motor or load where LG fault has occurred is 5km away from your transformer where neutral point is grounded then how does fault current flow from 5 km away via ground (rock and soil) and returns to the neutral point where transformer is located i mean does fault current travel such huge distance without getting lost on the way ?

Through NGR limit fault current will flow throughout the length..

As per my knowledge, it won't be necessary as rating is less. We have used ngr for 2MVA transformer.

NGR is used in series or parallel ? Resistance are connected series or parallel?

In series with neutral point of transformer to ground. If connected in parallel, there won't be any use as resistance will decrease
