This is the second of the basic techniques that all martial artists use. Shifu Gregg demonstrates the middle block as an entry move to quick dominate and shut down your opponents attack.

I know people say ugly things on the internet about martial arts/traditional forms. But you should know that your work is doing wonders. If I could realistically go to your dojo in person, I would. Be like smoke friend. Man cannot hit you with his arrows if they just pass through you.

I appreciate the support you are giving in our direction with these videos. Bridging the gap between styles and showing how we are more similar than different is key. Also showing the greater side of kung fu. There is too much nonsense out there in the world and not putting kung fu in a good light. Blessings and light 🙏. Thanks again🤙🤙🤙

@@AuthenticShaolin hey, I don't know if shaolin kung fu specifically teaches this move, but I was wondering if you could maybe make a video explaining the "shoulder strike" and it's application? It's from a style of kung fu called Bajiquan, also known as the "bodyguard style". It would be really cool to see.

Another excellent video. Thank you so much for more examples and explanations of aspects of kungfu like defending/attacking the middle parameter and the ability to combine fists , feet and chin na from a great system like lohan. I saw a lot of movements that are very similar in some kungfu styles I've practiced over the years.. more please Shifu Gregg 🙏

I never use the Bell, and I got here within 45 minutes. The Bell is a bad thing in my opinion. I did that years ago, to all the channels that I was subscribed to. And it would literally freeze my computer, with all the notifications coming in, when I turned it on.

@@AuthenticShaolin You will, with the great, informed videos you do. But the thing of asking viewers more than once, to like, subscribe and put the bell on, is kind of over, it has been done to death. Channels still do it, but some do it at the end of the video, where if the viewer liked the video, they will more likely subscribe, then if you hit them right at the start also. Good videos, like you do, get subscribers, I suspect more people subscribe because they liked a channel's videos, then if they were just asked to subscribe. I know I do. And consider the people already subscribed, like myself, that hear that over and over, every video.
