Thanks, man! Be advised, despite the video is posted almost two years ago it still helps other people! My first request led me to your channel.

Hi thank you very much for your videos for Crp5. Do you have those for the wind side as well?

Thanks for this video. It was helpful as I have not used the CRP-5 in depth. I have a question though.. In your example you stated OAT = 30 deg C and elevation 4500ft , but you did not use the ISA Deviation. In your example for 2000ft, you used the ISA deviation. So I just need you to clear up whether you meant the deviation is 30 degrees or actual temperature is 30 degrees else its a bit conflicting? In the equation however it is clear that we should use the ISA Deviation - its just the CRP 5 that I want to know if we should use the ISA Dev. or the Actual reported OAT?Thanks

Hi, thanks for the comment. I've been through the video and can't find the example for 2,000ft you are mentioning. Where abouts is it? Thank you.

GoPro Flying Hi.. Sorry it wasn't 2000ft it was "5000ft and temp is ISA"...Thanks

If I remember correctly. In both examples I actually used the actualy outside air temperature, not the deviation. The CRP-5 is designed to do the ISA deviation automatically. Just set the actualy temperature against the pressure alt. The rest is done for you.

May I ask, what is the difference between the CRP-1 and the CRP-5 as I found that my calculations had slight variations when using the CRP-1?
@Goproflying8 жыл бұрын
I don't believe there is much of a difference between the CRP-1 and 5 apart from the lack of compressibiliy correction, RAM rise scale and one or two speed conversions. The scales should all be as accurate as each other.
