Had he actually still had his previous reincarnation's memories when Focalor approached him, he prolly would have done what Apep is doing by not giving a single fuck to what happens to the natives of Sumeru while still being angry at Deshret, and parallel to Neuv just not bothering to turn Fontanians into True Blood humans, and not caring about even being Iudex. So even if he regained his memories now, he can't exactly anymore heartlessly not give a shit anymore after being infected with "humanity" by what "Focalor" made him go through. He could have just as easily took his anger out on "Furina" once he remembered everything, cuz yk blind rage so far in Genshin always leads to blaming others, but he chose not to cuz he has enough empathy to understand "Furina" and "Focalor" are essentially two different beings. His previous reincarnation and if Neuv had his memories while still having met "Focalor" for the 1st time prolly wouldn't care about this at all, and prolly would say it is all just "rhetoric" and that "Furina" and "Focalor" are just the same. And even still his "manipulated gain of humanity" made him unable to hate Focalor as well, hence her apology to him for deceiving everyone including him.

You also need to understand that she is being judged because of the issues regarding the prophecy. Mind you that it is their survival at stake here. If your supposed leader is helpless and not taking the problem seriously, then you would surely demand a better shit from them. This is all done for the sake of their own survival. No one can really blame both sides since Furina is keeping a secret while the others are struggling for survival. They simply don't know what she is hiding hence they have to perform a trial on her.

Amongst the characters in the Archon Quest, Furina was the most affected by the ordained fate. She hides her true face with the false persona, kept at it for half millennia. No human would be remain sane after that long years, especially having to cling on false hope only to be crushed by cruel fate at the very end. Her, Navia, and Neuvillette are the stars of the Archon Quest. Im glad she was able to find her calling as a fully pledge human. I hope she will able to have more stories about regaining her self-esteem, she is among the best characters in Genshin.

Ok, but Furina deserves MORE than a place to live. I hate how NOBODY apologized to her after she has done for Fontaine, and how bad they treated her , and Paimon keeps being rude to furina (i really hated so much paimon on fontaine) Even furina asked her to shut up, also Navia judging Furina ( I dont like this character neither) Furina went trought a lot of things Pretending to be someone else for years, Not having powers to defend yourself, and everyone blaming on her, when she could not do anything just wait cause she is cursed, and to the end everyone just made her cry at the court, Neuvillete was the one who respected her more ( and even now respects her and also Clorinde went to visit Furina) But traveler NEVER apologized to Furina, and never tried to defend her when people were looking at her with hate on Poisson, and even Paimon and Traveler judging Furina because she does not know anything about fighting (Even when she did not have a vision yet) everyone on Fontaine is very ungrateful abd rude.

Nations that have active vision holder recruitment programs like Mondstadt or Snezhnaya are stronger. The Tenryou Commission and Grand Narukami Shrine have attempted to recruit vision holders into their ranks e.g. Kuki Shinobu. As one of the vision holders in Fontaine, Furina's government job is not over IF Fontaine's government decides to recruit its nation's vision holders. In one of Neuvilette's voice line: "work that she has done over the centuries is truly immense. If she were to ever make a return to the stage, I should personally attend the performance and give her my heartfelt applause". Neuvilette opens the door for her return since She is a vision holder who can still attain godhood. It's in Fontaine's own national interest to recruit vision holders.

Yeah, I'm happy and sad for Furina. She's finally living her own life after 500 years. But from what I see is, she's still facing hate from the people. Especially from Poisson, they have suffered greatly from the primordial seawater, so they somewhat hate Furina for her "inactivity" during the crisis, while they didn't know her full story. She may be free, but I fear she may have to deal with some criticism. Though I hope they don't insult or accuse her in any way.

Furina is a part of Focalor. The only thing is that Furina herself do not know that she is a part of Focalor because she got complete mind reset with only the prophecy in her memories. If she had access to what her divinity has, she can claim that she is an archon, a former archon, who splitted herself to deceive the HP. But in order to achieve the deceitful plan, her divinity chose to take all her memories. That is why Furina herself claims "fake" but she is not because she is part of an archon... she is an archon, a former one. This was very well explained in the archon quest... why create confusion?
