One thing to note about a day 1/cope weapons is that we should be getting the Ring of Yaxche for free from a web event that comes out this Thursday, so while you may need to farm mats to level it up, at least you wont have to buy the recipe or transmute any billets. I guess this is assuming that it comes in the mail day 1, but still pretty nice

The logic of Phlogiston was the exact inverse of Oxygen. While burned material gains oxygen as it becomes oxidized, therefore gaining mass, in the Phlogiston theory, it loses Phlogiston to the air. Basically, whenever you consider what oxygen does in the fire, Phlogiston is the time-reversed version of it, so much that if it existed, ti would need to have negative mass.

She love vape that is true, but what makes the difference is the synergy with Bennett. Looking at National teams where Xingqiu and Childe can vape with ease cause they can work with Bennett, and whoever works with Bennett, he can also brings out the most with Xiangling. Mualani's case, she can't work with Bennett, means she needs to work around Xiangling's problems. Mavuika will be Mualani's the best partner that is for sure.

You said you expect her reception to be like clorinde but she is very different from clorinde with the fact that most of her team dmg contribution is by herself and characters with high personal dmg tend to get good reception. Also very different from clorinde as well as from neuvilette is that they are consistent dps units with high hit frequency while she is more of a nuke character with less hit frequency (comparable to gaming as tgs said).

As weird as it feels to say, I would recommend Dehya Partially because if you pick her, but then happen to get her again in lost 50/50s, you get cons that are pretty decent upgrades, while Mona's cons outside of C1 are pretty useless

Mualani's highest sheeting teams are all with Mona, especially if you have Mona's C1. Meanwhile, the only benefit Dehya provides is some cope interruption resistance and equally cope off-field pyro. You probably know how it goes if you want improvements on the team - you find the weakest link and replace it - and the most obvious candidate to be replaced the very second Mavuika drops is Dehya. Mona might end up being worse than Furina if Mavuika's pyro application ends up being insane, but even if she does, she'll probably still be a decent option that will allow you to use Furina on the other side. But what is certain is that Dehya isn't going to stick around.

Dehya has a couple of decent teams now and is actually more relevant than Mona (not that Mona is bad). If you want to do forward vape with Mualani then go with Dehya. For mono-hydro I'd still not bother with Mona though and just wait for a Furina rerun or Yelan. As for the other standard 5*s in general, Tighnari, Keqing and Diluc are all pretty solid but rely on some specific teams that include limited 5*s. Jean is a fine option for Furina teams but there are plenty of other healers that work. Qiqi is still Qiqi but isn't nearly as bad as she was 3 years ago (there are teams she works in but is largely replaceable). Still, at the end of the day there is very little challenging content in Genshin and you can make most characters work well when you put them in teams that make sense and build them.

Honestly I have an opposite reaction to this. Power creep is bad but the lack of it also means there is no incentive to get the new characters. When most of the new characters are boring gameplay-wise or not appealing enough, the only incentive becomes how much of an upgrade they will provide to my account. The more banners I skip (because they're not wroth it), the more time I end up spending on my own characters, leading to >> Less gameplay variety in a game that is 4 years old >> Getting bored >> it turns people off (my case basically). Now I'm not saying power creep is entirely good, but I'm saying that it is an easy method to keep some of the players interested. Honestly, I have a lot to say about this topic in particular but English isn't my mother tongue, and I can't find the right words to explain this well. So, I will leave it at there.

If you don't pull for whoever is the highlight of the patch, you get something that already feels outdated on release. Tbh her not being on neuvillette’s level, much less power creeping him, is a good thing. She still has outrageous numbers, but I don’t think they should ever powercreep Neuvillette unless it’s an equally important character in lore, like dainsleif or another sovereign, and even then, it should not be by much if at all. The reason for that is that current content is balanced around Neuvillette. So if let’s say abyss is balanced around a Capitano that theoretically outdpses Neuvillette, Neuvillette would probably still have a relatively decent clear time, but people who own neither would no longer be able to consistently 12 star the abyss. 4.7 and 4.8 were already horrible enough for people who didn’t have him and Furina. I would dread to imagine what 5.7 would look like for a Eula main.

A character shouldn't be an archon or a sovereign to be good - canonical Hu Tao doesn't even know how to fight, and yet she's one of the best on-fielders in the game. Depending on if you consider atk speed a stat, that has a hard cap too as I happened to find out yesterday (160% apparently). So yeah, CRIT rate is one of the only stats but not the only. I wonder if there are any more?

to me crit rate as an ascension stat is a good thing the reason being its a major stat that is locked either through RNG via sub stat or money if you look at it crit rate is only available in 5 star weapons and battle pass weapon we haven't gotten a free 4 start or craftable with a crit rate 2ndary stat its either Atk% HP% ER% never crit rate the only crit weapon we have that is not a 5 star or a battle pass weapon is harbinger of dawn, sling shot, white tassel and twin nephrite all being 3 stars having crit rate as ascension allows character building similar to a whale seeing as they have access to crit easy they can pump up crit damage and other offensive stat without worry

Well, I'm about to get C2 Dehya with the free 5*, so Imma probably go with Mualani, Dehya, Nahida and Emilie (last slot is negotiable). Maybe give Nahida Proto Amber and build Dehya full HP so that she can absorb a good chunk of damage and get more effective healing from the Proto Amber

I hear all the talk about overcapping Crit Rate and can only think of "Childe never crits" memes. I feel like Crit Rate being almost at cap is good for her, because she doesn't have a lot of hits and so consistency to make them feel powerful is very much appreciated. Obviously this limits her weapon choices, but at least she will feel pretty good at base without Crit Rate weapon. All I'm saying is this feels deliberate design consideration.

Its crazy how many peeps sleeps on yao yao Ill recommend u guys who dont have emilie/nahida try yao yao she is crazy good for her ik there is dps loss but if you dont have them there is not next good alternative (u can try on ur own) Yao yao: she is actually good with her im currently using yao yao dehya and sucrose as sucorse provide me descent amount of em and my dehya and yao yao are having a good synergy As mualani is lit bit clunky to play u will take a lot of dmg unnecessary Try using this team maybe you will get the result.

I'm totally into her gameplay and team comps, looks very interesting to handle. I do expect, for what has been leaked, Xilonen and Mavuika are going to be very strong teammates for her, and I'm planning to get both too. Can't wait to play her. But is a thousand floating dreams really better than ring of yaxche R5? With nahida's weapon, you lose 41% HP and 12/2% damage bonus and instead get 297/265 EM. Depending on if you have no/one extra hydro in your team. Is 297/265 EM really better than 41% HP and an extra 12/2% HP. I feel like HP% is way more important than EM. And the ring also gives more damage bonus. So overall i feel like the ring is better. If there is any TC on it please tell me. Because im pulling her and i have a thousand floating dreams. I really want to know if i should make the new craftable for her or use nahida's weapon Edit: after watching the team section, i can say that im not running double hydro. Which make HP% even more valuable. So with nahida's weapon im getting 265 EM and losing 2% damage bonus and 41% HP. So is it really better?
