@T. Dee Technically she can't be forced to return it but it is wrong to keep an engagement ring after rejecting the proposal. An engagement ring isn't just any gift, its given as a symbol of an agreement to marriage. The man offers the ring (proposal to marriage) and the woman accepts the ring (says yes to marriage). If she no longer agrees to marriage then she should also return the ring back. Her not returning the ring just makes her look trashy.

I guess in America there's a law about engagement rings. I don't think there are laws about engagement rings in the four countries I've lived in, it's a gift of never ending love. And there can be two rings, one for each partner. That's how I got engaged, twice, with a ring each ;) practice for marriage, when you are both wearing a wedding ring :D

So I’m honestly confused which one is better after seeing a bunch of catfish episodes, is it better to be catfished or is it better to meet the person be real? Because half the time when the person is a catfish are there a complete psychopath but the other half of the time they’re genuinely nice people who are just ashamed of their body. (It’s wrong but in my mind understandable and doesn’t make them a terrible person) But it seems to me almost 100% of the time when the person is real, they’re super flaky and inconsiderate of others and/or they were just in a really terrible time in their life. And I don’t think I’ve ever seen an update where it works out.
