Ryan has talent.. Jake has heart..
@knightwind66283 жыл бұрын
Agreed, Ryan has the training, talent and skills of a great fighter but what he lacks is passion, valor and strength. Jake was already a skilled brawler but he just need some tuning and discipline to hone in his natural fighting skills. I really wish they left the part in the movie where Ryan tells Jake he's the best he's ever fought and Ryan is "jealous" of him, on how Jake is twice the fighter than he can ever be and Jake tells Ryan it's ok to lose to a fight but walking away from one is wrong. They shake hands and they go their separate ways. It would've been cool to see that, humanize the characters a bit more. ✌️👀

Ryan had the training & experience, Jake the heart, desire & a natural ability to brawl fiercely. Both were inherently skilled in different areas. In fighting fist to fist & in grappling Jake had an edge though in utilizing various martial arts combos & in unleashing quick striking kicks Ryan had a bit of an advantage (though a gap that Jake was capable of closing via several additional months of intense & focused training!). At the end each was the equal to the other overall, granted Jake ultimately prevailed. He won Ryan's respect & admiration. Great Fight!

Jakes grappling is better than Ryan’s grappling I would have to say ryan prefers to use striking while jake knows when to strike and when to grapple and even know how to fight smart

Exhaling on each strike doesnt give you power, in fact its the opposite. If you hold your breath, your power shots become more stable and more solid. But it's not by a lot, so breathing in sync isnt bad, but the only thing it does is keep your stamina afloat.
@PWNINSWAGMASTER7 жыл бұрын
Vengeful Spirit Im glad you agree but I dont throw haymakers. I throw hooks(Im boxer so...). Haymakers cost a price, which is subtle anticipation. Without it being subtle, you'll be countered regardless. The only anticapation you need is footpivoting, but your upper body has to be quick when you throw a hook. Left hooks are usually the quickest. I typically use right hooks only when my opponent moves to their left, so that that they dont escape from me.
@PWNINSWAGMASTER7 жыл бұрын
Lets not go that far, I do boxing as a hobby, I can coach people on it from time, and I'm a boxing analyst, but I'm not planning to make it a career. I just understand the sport, how the business side of it works, a fair amount of its history, and how the movements are done. You are free to try boxing. Just know that if you do, it's not hard work at all...... it's torturous training! Y'know how you get soar for like a day or 2 after working out in a regular gym? After walking out of a boxing gym, you'll be soar for 3 to 4 days. That's how intense the training is. Also you need to know that every punch you throw, every head movement you make, every feint you throw is all dependent on one thing... Footwork. You need to stay committed to the art for a good month if you're to understand the movement. And when I say "understand", I'm not talking about your mind, I'm talking about your muscles. You're muscles have to learn, understand, and remember everything that the trainers teach you. And DO NOT cut corners. Rest when THEY tell you to and excel as much ac you can. Boxing is a very intense, harsh, and life threatening sport. I'd also encourage that you watch youtube vids on how to do each punch, study world level boxers that have tremendous footwork to improve your own, and also study them so that you can choose or invent your own style. If you like violent punches, watch Duran, Tyson, Haglar, or modern boxers like Golovkin or Thurman. If prefer technique, watch Ray Leonard, Benitez, Whitaker, or modern technicians like Lomachenko or Roman Gonzalez.
@PWNINSWAGMASTER7 жыл бұрын
I'm not a major analyst, more of just a jounalist-level analyst. When I say I can coach I mean the gym I work in. There is a pro that's in contact with me that's asked for my advice from time to time and has asked me to be part of his team, but I had to decline because of my career direction. And yes Steward is one of the greatest trainers in the sport no doubt. And thank you for the compliment, it feels heart warming to hear someone say that. I'm sure I could do something more for the sport than just analyzing fights to determine what I think the result of a fight should have been apart from the official scores. I don't know much about the Marin Corpse(in terms of their training), but everything does not level with boxing training. The only advice I would have for you now is to focus hard on your stamina and DO NOT fight slow. Fight explosively. Amateur boxing judges are more unfair than pro boxing judges. They like to see more punches even if they miss. Amateur boxing is all about throwing more punches than taking your time like in pro. If you take aim to be a pro, aim for the KO for like the first 14 to 16 fights.
@jasongarcia96147 жыл бұрын
Dub Line that's is main lesson is that it's more important to keep your stamina in fight cause you can have all the power in the world but if you're too tired how effective can your power be in the fight
@PWNINSWAGMASTER7 жыл бұрын
Jason Garcia No that's not the lesson from this scene, it should be, but it's all about effective power, he even said "you dont control your breathing you have no power". It's always at its strongest when you hold your breath and flex your muscles.
