@TJMR Rautahi All I know is these reports. I have seen a lot of them. I do feel that Roddie was a party to what happened but certainly less degree of culpability. He was a late-comer, spur of the moment. Should the whole neighborhood be charged, since they all were alarmed about the numerous reports of thefts and a suspicious outsider. The weird thing is, mayors and community leaders have often said, be involved, speak out. Even black pastors have tried to keep youth off drugs, out of crime, stay in school. I remember how Pres Obama would say "take back our communities" from gun violence, gangs, etc. Obama praised volunteerism, and national day of service. Get involved. So when Brook Perez (Diego's wife) and the elder McMichaels, As well as Subie Lawrence, daughter of Annabelle Beasley -- and Larry English ... sort of informally try to take back the night -- now a tragedy has happened... With our 20/20 hindsight we sit in judgment.

Travis thinks he's got him (trapped like a rat, Gregory says). Travis jumps out with his shotgun. Gregory yells, "Travis don't do anything. Don't shoot." But it was too late. Is there any evidence Roddie knew these guys would kill Arbery, or that they were going to commit any felony at all? Whatever the "citizen's arrest" laws were at the time of the incident will be important. And filming the incident was not illegal. In fact, his lawyer may argue that the fact he was filming indicates he wanted to have evidence that he and the others conducted their citizen's arrest legally, and then things went bad for reasons beyond his control. I'm surprised these guys aren't being tried separately. Whoever gets convicted will argue on appeal that they didn't get a fair trial because they were lumped in with the other two, and I have a feeling that such an argument might actually win them a second trial.

If he hadn't helped to detained Arbery he might have got away and would still be alive. At 12:13 The officer drawing his weapon because he is in a dark house and doesn't know where the person is is very different than chasing a man down the street in broad day light in two different trucks then after you've trapped him you get out of your truck and cut off his escape by approaching with a shot gun. In a dark house anything could be in there, not just the suspected suspect. Empty houses are often drug dens too and hide outs for criminals. Broad daylight is absurd for a mistaken identity or rash behavior. This new video does not prove any burglary took place nor does it identify any alleged burglar. All it does it prove the arrogant, speculative and vigilante nature of the defendants (and consequently the cover up by the police and the DA.) The bloodthirsty killers did not see Arbery commit any crime whatsoever. They just assumed he did because he was black and he was running in a predominantly white neighborhood and he had walked through a construction area prior to his murder (as did many other white people.) They really did not know whether the alleged burglar was black or white or any other color. In contrast, the man in the other vehicle did witness a crime, a murder, and he kept silent about it until he ignorantly thought releasing the video he took of the execution would exonerate the killers. He was complicit and should also serve time for his complicity in cornering the victim and for his complicity in covering it up. The cop and DA should be fired and prosecuted, too.

That flag doesn't do anything to anybody. However, when it is misused and abused by ignorant and arrogant idiots, it takes a lot of bad rap, and the people who honor that flag have no legal control over those S-holes. People need to stop judging that flag, and the people who honor it, by the arrogance and ignorance of a few bad apples, just like Arbery should not have been judged by these idiots simply because of the color of his skin. There are literally hundreds of Blacks who respect that flag, and belong to the heritage organizations of that flag. This man wasn't killed by a flag, he was killed by arrogant bigots who have no right to display that flag. I'm glad these fools were found guilty, I hope they get the max penalty, and I pray to God that Arbery's family can find peace and comfort knowing many people who honestly fly that flag agree with the jury's verdict.

The officer drew his gun for officer safety, because it was dark and he’d been informed that the suspect may be armed. Very different from some half-wit idiots chasing down and cornering a man in jogging shorts for suspected trespassing. There is NO justification for this. If they’re trying to rely on a now defunct statute about citizen arrest, then they must know the law. Trespass isn’t a felony and they knew it.

@@annieb5647 man, you idiots just don't want to to follow the law, do you? They were not following the laws pertaining to citizens arrest, since these 3 idiots were not following the law, you don't get to pull a gun on anybody and then claim self-defense. There was no legal reason to be gunning down somebody during a non citizens arrest. Thanks to these 3 Stooges who abused the citizen arrest law and the state of Georgia, that state law of stopping somebody as a citizen is now history because of what these 3 Stooges did. They broke the law and abused it greatly so bad that the state took it away. @@annieb5647 you have to go back a step. They did not have the right to make a citizen arrest in the first place. They knew trespassing was not a felony, they were told that before this went down. The laws are different in my state but I do know that. The man was unarmed and he was up against three guys chasing him down with a firearm. This is not a case of self defense. They chased him down with guns and then claimed it was because they were making a “citizen’s arrest” and approached him with a loaded gun. You cannot defend property such as tools etc (and it was pretty obvious the victim didn’t have anything stolen on him when they approached him anyway) with deadly force in any state. Travis was not defending himself or others, HE had the deadly weapon. The victim did not. Just think of it this way; if you went into a house under construction looky-looing around then came out and was jogging down the street and three guys in trucks started following you, cutting you off, then approached you with a gun pointed at you, would you feel that they were justified in killing you, despite ANY type of move you made, whether it was to run, stand your ground, or try to divert the weapon?

Gregory was guessing and assuming. He claimed he saw Arbery (last time) reaching into his wast band. I don't believe it. Arbery was dressed for jogging. Gregory profiled Ahmaud as being a bad guy. So he probably infected his son, "We need to talk to that guy and find out what he's doing." Well, Travis is a hot head anyway. Obviously I don't know for sure. But this case went viral. The local commissioner of Brunswick, a black official named Allen Booker, said that once the facts came out, the local Brunswick community was pretty shocked by it. (Both black and white). But the whole case exposes the long shadow of racial polarity, even when it seems to have lessened. The cover-up by Jackie Johnson and then by her replacement Barnhill, was a red flag higher up the judicial system. NOW the whole world is watching.

People are not stealing $4 2 by 4's. They steal copper and any power tools or big ticket items that go for a couple hundred dollars or more. We had our house built and I did chase away people coming to have a 'look'. They do let themselves into our barn by the road, and kindly leave their drug paraphilia, used condoms and dirty towels. They are rolling in bat droppings and raccoon scat so, they have high standards of living, I am sure.

Reminder: the owner of the open house never reported the stolen items no police report for the stolen items. 1. because he was unclear if they went missing before or after the boat was moved to that house 2. Because he suspected the heavy items could not be removed undetected unless they were packed in boxes furst and thought maybe the AC contractors had means and access to take them not Arbery.

Not to dump anything more on Mr. English but if he had just installed his garage doors and it looks like possibly an entryway door, he could’ve been closed that building and locked it up!!! problem solved!!! Plus the neighbors window had to keep such an eye out for people wandering through their new neighbors house while construction had been stalled!

where i live there is lots of new construction, and it is encouraged for people to check out the new homes. for a lot of reasons. first, it satisfies people curiosity. once you see one, youve seen them all and dont care anymore. second, it stops kids from going there at night to do whatever kids do. third, it helps sell houses when you have people saying ‘oh you know what they just started building this house over there’ to their friends who might be looking to buy a new house.
