someone with a set would also do this. some people just call/limp with pockets for the set mine. so there is no rule to follow.

Hey Nathan, I keep running into sets with my big hands (AA, KK, QQ) how do I spot these, I obviously want to get value from my monsters, and a guy that has a set of 5's for instance is so difficult to spot? Thanks

Good Query! How can you suspect if you’re up against a set vs. your big pairs etc.?
@cbrreezzyy69
@cbrreezzyy69 3 жыл бұрын
Stop acting like big pocket pairs are 100% the winner would be first advice. You’re probably not betting enough pre-flop, most likely not 3 betting enough, and most definitely not 4 betting. But you have to read the board texture; is there a straight or flush draw out there and are they betting or are they check calling your bets to control the pot till they get what they want? Bet sizing is important, too. If you have KK and the flip comes 2 5 9 and you bet $20, if they re-raise you BIG, you have to at least consider you’re not good anymore, or they hit a small piece with a draw where they have a ton of outs, or just bluffing you entirely. These things only come with thousands of hours of playing. You’re not looking at peoples faces and going “ah, he’s got trips.” No. You’re watching everyone’s betting habits and taking mental notes and then use those notes later on.

Could you help me with this one: after betting/raising preflop you advice to make a cbet in app. 75 percent of the times...that is qay more often than hitting sth decent ..so i will actually Bluff quite a lot at least on the flop?

Always look at the player type you are facing before c-betting. If you have no reads with your HUD do it with strong draws, your value hands and boards you are more likely to connect as the pre-flop raiser such as Ad8s4h. Don't cbet wet boards such as JsTs9d as they favor the pre-flop caller.

Question on how to get the most money from a quad nut hand. I had A/Q suited ug2 and bet $15 in a 1-3 game. Cutoff called and we went to the flop heads up. Flop came Q/10/Q. I bet 20 and the cutoff called. Turn was a Q and I bet 30. Cutoff then raised to 120. I then three bed to 300. After some thought he folded. Should I have checked? How do I get the most out of this hand? He said he had A/10.
@cbrreezzyy69
@cbrreezzyy69 3 жыл бұрын
No. You should’ve smooth called the $120. You have the nuts and he’s betting into you, LET HIM! When the river comes, depending on the size of both of your stacks you could go all in right away since you’re first to act, if he’s only got like $100 left and there’s essentially $300 in there, he’s going to call you most of the time. You could check hoping that he’s going to go all in, or lastly, you can value bet the river, say like, $80. An amount that if even if he thinks you have it, he can’t not call. This bet can also make him raise you. That last river part really all depends on chip stacks left and the opponent you’re playing. But the turn, if you ever have the stone cold nuts again, and someone decides they want to bet into you, just let them hang themselves.

Wait, why do we bet the flop on T74? The T gives us the range advantage? I guess the positions matter, that smashes say a button calling range. Would you play AK the same way?
@snesmaniac228
@snesmaniac228 3 жыл бұрын
A continuation bet on flop is standard if you are the preflop raiser. And yes, play AK the same way. I guess you could check behind on the turn with AK. When faced with a raise, then perhaps consider folding but it is very player dependent.

What if they made a set of 4s and kept calling and then bet the river

This happens. But typically they raise you with two pair or better but if they do have a set pay the fish tax and take note of this player.

Guys. There are some very fishy players in the sng streets on global poker. I need help nailing this bot/cheat. Ecto cooler is the cheaters name. I’ve seen this player punt off 12-20bb pre flop with absolute garbage only to continually get rewarded for it. I’ve seen enough and had enough.
