Pocket Aces - pre flop raise - miss the set on the flop 3H, 6S, JD - CBet half pot - Turn brings 7C - half pot raise as top pair - river brings 2 clubs - raise again - lose pot to fish that has pocket 2s and gets the set on the river. This is how I play poker

Everything that he says is as it is. I've started following his strategy and just implemented few GTO fondaments and it works. Just be patient , take your time and have fun.

Considering they are able to ever fold top pair 😂😂 Otherwise just keep the size of the pot manageable until you hit your hand and then ask for all of it

Training usually assumes players at a table won't call raises with weak hands. Reality is that most low stakes games will have mostly multi-way pots. Learning how to manage multi-way play is key. In mostly multiway games, I offer two main pre-flop options: 1. Raise for a small amount to build the pot, as you expect several callers or 2. raise for a very big amount (even all-in) to limit the field. Most players don't bet at a multi-player pot without something, so most of the time you'll want to fold if you don't flop a strong hand. C-bets are usually hopeless multiway, especially since those who flop a strong hand like trips will sandbag. Make flop bets based upon the strength of your hand, and the likelihood that your hand is best. Usually top two pair or better should bet but maybe not when the flop is monotone or 3 to a straight. Anyhow, there's my book for you.

Raise him on the flop if he bets to see if he actually has a hand or not
@justinjames7801
@justinjames7801 Күн бұрын
@@andysilvy23theres alot to consider you have stack depths, are you playing over 200 bb deep? Also you said you were IP did maniac donk bet into you? And how much did he bet what’s the pot and spr? How much was raised pre flop? Did you 3x the blinds and he calls or 4-5x? What hands has maniac shown down before? Hands like 7-2 10-4 stuff like that? If he did bet was it small in correlation to pot? How much left behind? You said AJoff so only backdoor opportunities you have are broadway or low end of wheel. so you have very little equity Raising on this flop is just a punt unless you go runner and hit an Ace or jack you could be drawing dead against a set or two pair if the turn isn’t a broadway card or wheel draw card, now if your A-j was suited and you had backdoor opportunities that’d play different you could call to see a turn. Playing bad hands is a mistake against maniacs you want to generally play stronger ranges than them and not get into raising wars because they just call. Unless your image is good and they know your gonna have aces, 2 pair or a set and you use that to take pots away here and there. There’s no one straight forward approach to this spot. Lots more going on than to just raise and see if he has a hand or not. Even tho I agree with that play, it does work if he’s full of it. But he thinks you’re full of it and re raises you have to fold. A high can be good here sometimes or you can hit an ace for top pair. Sometimes just calling to see a turn is best play then seeing what he does from there, a lot time they’ll give up on turn of it’s a bluff not many players have a triple barrel bluff button. Good players will call in position just to take away on later streets. Good luck

Nathan, I don't know what happen, but the problem is all the time with this hands when the game is important în that moment you loose. Is a rules on poker this to happen. Is predicteble this. Let me tall you what happen to me ,not 1 time 10 players left and i'm chip leader. I recieve AA and I get bad beat. Next hand KK, a same thing: tilted, and end of tournament. Is almost all the time. I don't know what to belive! Is like they are hand în hand with somme fake account and the money still stay on the poker company. They know the result before to play the hand. How is posible to call with 8,4 to beat AA?? In the most important moment? And to make a full house? Floping 884??

On the last option AK has 5 outs (3 Ks and 2 3s). Whereas the 3s can improve greatly with an A or 6 but don't need it. I would say that on the last example 3s are probably 80/20 after the flop to win.

This is a game of probability. Neiter experienced "poker geeks" or beginners seems to grasp that. You can literally make everything correct in theory, and still loose the hand. All we can do is reduce the luck factor in the hands, never eliminate it.

I find #8 to be the opposite. Players talk too much when theyre comfortable, and lock up when bluffing. It really depends on the player personality and whats being said. If a person is normally talkative during and between hands but shuts up while betting into you, preflop theyre holding a monster. If they lock up on turn or river and bet, its usually a bluff.

I kept track how many times I had AK for 30 days I play 5 days a week for 5 hours a day not a lot I lost with AK 21 times and won 8, 3 of the 8 where before the flop. I made just over 200 and would rather just call with AK and see if I hit a flop over raising it up because it's just not that good of a hand for me

@@losyart I get out drawn all the time. Fish don't know when they are beat and one out me all the time. Not kidding the pot will have $200 in it and I'll have $250 more and go all in on the turn and be called by them with bottom pair and they almost always hit 2 pair on the river. Fish don't know when they are beat and stay in when they shouldn't.

Just wanted to share I’ve been trying to mimic your style as much as I can. Posted my second straight win after following a few of your tips trying to play TAG poker. Obviously a couple people folded to me to easily. I also would’ve cashed for a lot more if a couple stupid bomb pots and loosing with a king high flush to and ace high flush. I just didn’t believe he had it. But Tag poker is helping out.
