Good mornin' friends. Last year my husband planted several varieties of potatoes. I canned them and now that he is gone, I am being fed by the work of his hands. Such a blessing and a beautiful legacy. He's still taking care of me even though he has gone Home. Thank you so much for sharing. His abundance last year is a direct result of your sharing of knowledge. I just can't express how thankful I am for the two of you and your willingness to help people be successful. We love ya and blessings always, g.

You call this a great harvest? so litle potatoes? Wow, in europe they are the smallest, we have bigger potatoes. 1 year i got potatoes from 1.2kg a piece. 21cm long. Sweet potatoes we don't grow in europe..... too cold. We can plant in may and harvest in september. we have only 4 months usable weather. this year the harvest was 50% smaller and 50% less...... so then the EU dictators want us to stop put nitrogen in the soil. its forbidden......next year they are talking that EVERY harvest bust be ended in september, forbidden to harvest later. But corn and potatoes and a lot other things like cabage gets harvest later, Sellery and prei also.......

Try forking in sand in your potato area. We have heavy red clay in California....and now after a couple years with all the organic matter we have a nice sandy loam...perfect for taters. Sand loosens up the compaction and bad drainage of heavy clay....organic matter will change your clay soil over time but it takes years and years. The sand is just adding more minerals anyways. Yeah, I love your soil! We have clay..clay..clay..🤣🤦♀️ It definitely makes things difficult 😕 we've brought in organic soil from my husband's work, we've amended and it's still clay, not as hard but still mashed together even after 6 yrs of gardening and amending, thank the Lord we still get a harvest but I can only imagine hoew much better it would be if our soil just fell apart like yours!☺ Your harvest videos are my favorites besides porch time💜

Good morning! Here just south of Wiggins my tomatoes are growing like crazy! A few are over two feet tall already, they really enjoyed the thunderstorms we've been having. It has been very cool at night and early morning. It has allowed my Brussels sprouts experiment to continue, it was my first time growing them. We've already harvested and canned up some mustard greens, and made some bok Choy Sauerkraut! First time growing bok choy, how they go to seed is amazing to watch! We left three plants to collect from. So glad your potatoes are doing well! I love watching y'all, thanks for everything you do, and God Bless!

I never thought about using my bok choy for sauerkraut, I usually just use cabbage! I will be doing that now 😊 thanks! Do you care to share your recipe?

@@kramitdreams Hi! I didn't use a recipe really, other than make sure to weigh the bok choy (or cabbage or whatever) and then use 2.5% weight of salt, that's a general proportion for fermenting. I did slice an onion and a few cloves of garlic to add to it, and used red pepper flakes, cumin and chili powder to give it a bit of a kick and use it when we have tacos or Spanish rice. In my more traditional regular cabbage Sauerkraut, we have found adding garlic/onions and tumeric tastes great! If you wanted something for a Reuben sandwich, add some caraway seeds for that distinctive flavor. You can go wild with sauerkraut haha! It has been fun experimenting with it!

When did you plant these potatoes? Trying to judge when mine will be ready. I'm fixing to plant some sweet potatoes to make slips to plant where my potato bed is when they are dug.

Which state do you live in? We’re in Louisiana and my husband wants to plant potatoes.
