Great information 👍🏻 Lost my mom too soon. As a kid I helped her in her huge garden. 8 people in my family to feed back then. I moved away after graduation. She was stricken with brain cancer in my young 30's and was unable to talk. I never got to learn all of her secrets to gardening so I really appreciate stories like these. The family in the garden brought a few tears to my eyes with memories. 💗

Perfect timing. Going to be growing potatoes this year. You guys are going to survive the nuclear apocalypse as long as nothing of interest is close by. You got a great thing going

Organic potatoes from the grocery store work as well

Ca va, Miranda? Hope all is well. Yeah, I recall one time we threw out potatoes into the compost heap in the backyard, t these large leaf ugly plants came up and I said to myself how obnoxious and yanked one up, but only to see these little potatoes dangling off the roots. Lol. I'd thought our sandy soil here was not sufficient, but apparently even the store bought potato will sprout if the skins have the "eyes" on them and kept moist.

I dust the cut sides with sulfur and let them dry and I get such big potatoes I could not believe it. G-D is GOOD.

Apparently I missed some in my raised beds from last year and they sprouted 😅 So I just added to them.
