Absolutely stunning designs. I love making stencils, although they're usually weird and wonderful ones. Thanks for sharing the tutorial.

Thanks so much for this video! Saved me lots of time trying to figure out the settings! A suggestion though: you might want to try to peel the mat away from the material instead of peeling the material off the mat. It usually ends up tearing your material less and is easier to do, especially with the strong grip mat. There are lots of videos showing how to do this. The basic idea is to curl the mat as you remove the material and it just comes away almost on its own. Hope that helps!

Thank you for that tip! I will try it next time for sure and will have to look out for those videos💕Thank you for your comment😃

i`m trying to follow this to cut mylar, but i dont have the options you have , theres no "multi cut" i only have the blade that came with the explore 3, do i need a deep point blade? i was able to change the pressure when i started experimenting, but it wont let me now, i can choose "more pressure" but thats about it, i`ve tried my iphone and any ipad. ps. i got it to work using "denim bonded" but trying to add a custom material wont work, i press + , it asks for a name, then gives me an option of deep blade (i dont have one) or fine point ,if i press either one,it just goes back to the previous screen , no other options at all

@@StuWright I use my laptop not an iPad. I do use a deep point blade and these can be purchased separately. So did you go into browse materials when it asks you to choose your material. Once there then scroll down to material settings which will take you to all of the preprogrammed materials and their settings, then scroll down to add new material and you can just put the Mylar 10 settings in from there, the pressure number of passes and blade type. I don’t have a subscription to all the extras but I think the setting options are availability to anyone. Maybe it’s different on a laptop🌸

Can you add new material without a subscription? It doesn’t come up for mine? Thank you! I just tried to use the same material and no bueno’- never mind it’s different on iPad , it’s just the add sign in green for anyone else like me lol

Thanks for watching😊🌸we don’t have a subscription to cricut access where you can get free images and fonts and projects either but we can still add new material. If you go into browse materials and scroll down and click on material settings and at the bottom of that click on add new material and you should be able to input your settings. I’m not sure why it won’t let you🌸

@@ourhumblehomediy ok same problem as me lol,on an ipad, try "denim bonded " it worked for me to cut the mylar, on a mat, maybe you need to be connected to windows to add a new material, computers can be funny.

a mil is 1/1000 of an inch not a millimeter. Just FYI
