If only life had a dodge roll feature. I made this video in hopes that some of my friends and all of you watching can also get past the first boss at least and experience the later game, as it really is amazing from start to finish! Just understanding how the dodge roll works enabled me to get better at progressing through the game. What tips do you have for getting better at Elden Ring?

That's incorrect, Invulnerability initiates on the very first frame of the roll animation.

That is not entirely correct either, If you are playing at 60fps the entire animation has 18 frames and the invulnerability frame starts after the 6th frame until the 11th. It would have been nice to be in the first frame as that would mean you don’t need to learn the boss movements and just need to have really good reflexes to press the doge immediately after an attack. When I’m saying that the first and last frame in the video I’m talking more of a general idea as this moment is being called the Iframe, I don’t want to overcomplicate the viewer with a lot of technical details, but if I were to be more exact the invincibility would be around the 6th frame of the animation.

@@LarryPuss At 60 it's 26 frames for light and medium roll. And it does initiate on the very first frame of the animation. If I-Frames initiated in the middle it would feel very counter-intuitive as you would have to pre-emptively roll instead of reactively roll.
