I just started and already I’m only doing 2 picks per entree. Fresh in, I kept choosing 6 picks and lost 3-4 picks. Choosing two picks per entree that you’re confident in is the much more wise decision for beginners. I’ll gradually go up on my picks. Until then I’m playing smart.

When playing five and six leg flex entries on prize picks the implied juice is at- 119 and- 118 respectively. Playing five and six leg entries is the best way to maintain profit long-term but it of course comes with proper unit and bankroll management. This isn't the strategy of you're just randomly depositing $20 on a Friday
@SharpAppSportsBetting Жыл бұрын
It is high variance. You need to take that into consideration when figuring out your bankroll management. Similar to playing GPP's in DFS.

Three pick entries are the worst on prize picks. Only do them on underdog for the six times payout. You always want to play five or six leg flex entries on prize picks, they are the most profitable in the long term.

you have to take sportsbook vig into account when you create these models. -137 for a 2 pick is only breakeven if the sportsbook odds are the true odds. In reality, there is always vig, and some sportsbooks even use up to 6-7% vig on player props. Just some advice to improve your model.

There's 74 cents of juice in the 2 pick plays. That's about double than the average juice for player props. Never do 2 pick plays. Only 5 and 6 flex plays.
@DFSArmy Жыл бұрын
You can do them when the book odds are stacked in your favor. We find spots that are skewed as much as -400 in niche sports particularly when the prop isn't readily available on sports books. If you have one play in the -200 range in your pocket then you can add in a 2nd leg and still be +EV.

Just because a play is skewed to win 55-60% of the time doesn't mean they will always hit. 40% of the time that -150 play is still going to lose. It's important to understand probabilities. Lets say you enter a 6 flex with all 60% win probability legs. Your chance of hitting a 6 of 6 is still just 4.6%. So if you entered a 6 flex 20 times you should only expect to hit all 6 once. That's if you are following strict discipline and only playing 60% odds legs. The thing is we rarely find 60% legs. If you reduce that to the more common 57% legs you would only hit a 6 flex 3.4% of the time. The fact that SNIPER hit 5-0 twice in videos just last week is extremely rare. The thing is as long as you are hitting a 6flex once every 25-35 attempts you will be turning a nice profit over time.

@kevincurnick Жыл бұрын
I only do two leg entries now when there is a discrepancy on a line from the books and I know something is going to get bumped. Quick. Two leg entries should only be used as a quick pair to grab value, and even then on price picks you have a 5 minute cancel window to find a more plus EV plays to make a five leg

@@DFSArmy Every video I’ve seen has said to avoid 3 legs on Prize Picks also, but I genuinely don’t understand why. Is it because say for example I bet $20 every time, I’d have to win a larger percentage of my bets in order to profit, whereas on the other options I would be able to lose a little bit more and still be able to profit? It's going to be tough. The odds of hitting a 6 leg even with 56% probabilities on every leg is just 3.08%. That means that on average you need to enter 30 of them to win it once. The thing is after that win when you look back on the cost vs the return you should have a nice little profit. Keep the bankroll going with 2 leg lineups ideally anchored in Tier 1 plays like the one we gave out in this past week's UFC video. Petyr Yan was a Tier 1 lock and we used him in 2 leg lineups to skew the odds massively in our favor.

@@seba252xd Make sure to watch the longer video we did going over the math in greater detail. That said, 6 flex pays out 2x when you hit 5 of 6 and it pays out 0.4x when you hit 4 of 6. So while you only need to hit 6 of 6 one out of 30 tries, you will hit 5/6 and 4/6 more frequently and over time the strategy will profit. The same thing is in effect for 5 flex plays.
