I have a question, do you think going into Grad school for CS is worth it? For me, I like learning but my main concern is that it would take up a lot of time and resources for something that I could have done on my own through self-learning. What are your thoughts on this?

What do you mean by Grad school, are you saying you already have a degree and you want to get your masters/phd? Or do you mean getting your first degree?

@@iamvan7243 This is all coming from my personal experience and what devs have told me with masters. Masters degree isn't worth anything when you go for your first job. It won't give you an advantage in the market, after you have a degree I strongly recommend you get a job, I don't think you having a masters will give you an advantage over people who don't have one and only have their first degree when it comes to getting a job. In the industry experience is king. After you get experience then go back for you masters. I can explain further or make a video if you want!

@@ItamarTati The reason why I think getting a masters might also be a good idea is because it would allow me to get qualifications and skills for more specialized applications of CS (AI, Cloud Computing, Computer Architecture, etc.) I also believe getting a experience is a good idea but from what I have seen and heard most masters degree are more of a quick cashgrab for unis.

I'm just saying in my world as a Full stack developer I have not seen that having a Masters to get your first job is going to pay off, I started an internship where I had no degree, another person had a cs degree and the last person had a masters. I don't believe they gave the person with a masters and preference.

Yes that is a good point, you can use chatgpt to write all of your unit tests. Save you a lot of time. But if you use chatgpt you might have to explain your code and it makes some really bad coding decisions.
