The part of the boss when the special zombies spawn with the artifact on them, the damn shock mimics can shoot you and lock you out from using both hands for a moment and slow you down in one move. And the zombies with the artifact on them are have a damage buff so if you get shocked too close to other enemies you basically die immediately

@@EngineNo9x idk if it’s a hitch or an intentional change, since season 2 update I’ve noticed zombies no longer stop targeting you when you get grabbed. So you get locked out and possibly swiped before the amalgam hits you hard.

Perfect explanation and I'm reiterating on your behalf again USE YOUR ICE STAFF for every enemy and only us your bullet weapon for the artifact and just run around in clockwise or anti-clockwise manner downstairs and you should be pretty safe from everything.

To easily solo defend the ice staff when forming it, grab the energy mine with turret upgrade and drop 1 or 2 of them near the staff and then start the step. Keep you distance from the staff as most of the zombies want to kill you and let the energy mine kill the few that go after the staff. Just keep the parasites in check and survive by training. Should take about 30 seconds to 1 minute. Also for the follow the purple orb step, you dont have to kill anything, just keep near the orb. Killing things only resets the timer of you being away from the orb if you get to far away.

As someone who has tried the egg and completed it once. I figured out the ice staff u can stand in one place and early stages and not to waste ur ammo in ur guns for the crystal.

I found that death perceptions extra change gives the loose change of perks to ammo caches, pap, and arsenal stations. Currently looking for more.

Also if you dig up three ancient crystal shards give them to the statue in death perceptions room to get a bunch of points, I even got a ray gun from it first try!!!!

I find that augment pretty useless, unless death perception is gonna be the first perk that u buy on your run. But nice findings, I still wanna know what treasure hunter really does.

@ when breaking crystals, digging, or getting chests on terminus, you get extra stuff out of it is what I've found so far. I haven't tried it with sam trials yet.

You can use a glitch with the hand cannon, everytime you use the charged shot of the ice staff, switch to your hand cannon and you’re gonna deal insane damage.

The max armor power up is hidden in a window type thing to the right of Speed Cola. Also there are vases around the map that break when you shoot them, some dropping intel. I've got a feeling they do something else because of the effect when you break them, they kinda explode into a little yellow energy cloud

For the first phase, tou can hide upstairs behind a wall and cover yourself with a charged ice staff. No need to follow the laser. But for second phase downstairs is the only way

ASG is by far the best bullet weapon for the artifect I found 4k damage per shot paired with a 40 drum mag you end up dealing the required damage in 8 seconds on average, it even shreds the doppelghast when it has the light mend mod on it

Take your time but dont take forever neither. The artifacts activate the statues after two cycles and you will be getting more amalgams and doppleghasts. So kill the HVTs as fast as you can with the Ice Staff (This comment is regarding the HVTs at the second half of the boss fight).

Not sure if it is based on the power of your firearm or by the amount of bullets fired, but it appears of your 75 bullets in the magazine, you have about 6 left when a mirror breaks. So I guess 992 (damage) x 69 (bullets) = 68,448 per notch? I am not a mathematician but it might be worth investigating to see if different firearms have different damage values?

The boss fight is not too hard, I think the enemies on the map do not play well with the arena and boss fight mechanics 2 enemies that can grab you is not really smart design to me

I only struggle with 2 things on this map - the boss fight and THE STUPID PROTECTION STEP TO GET THE ICE STAFF. If anyone has any tips on how to not die on that step I would really appreciate it. I can do everything else no sweat, but for whatever reason I can hardly ever succeed on the ice staff buiod

Use mutant injection and frenzied guard/aether shroud on the ice staff upgrade step. Decoys and kazimirs help, too. Throw the decoy or kazimir and then use aether shroud whenever you're in trouble. Use mutant injection as soon as the orb escort part starts. I think the electric mimics destroy kazimirs and decoys. I could be wrong, but keep that in mind.

@ I’m not having issues w the upgrade. I’m talking about getting the staff itself. For whatever reason I’m fine with the orb escort but I can’t consistently do the defend step to craft the staff

I used to struggle on that step too bro. A good strategy is to train the zombies in front of the Ice Staff location and focus on the parasites and the purple glowing enemies. Kazimir grenades help a shit ton too. If you’re still struggling after that, I recommend just bringing Kill Joy so you can pop an instakill and just spray

@ Ohhh, ok. I recommend the PAP'd GS45 with akimbo, silencer, and extended mags, and/or the energy mine with the turret augment and extra charge augment, and a sentry turret killstreak. I did it without the GS45.

I never really complain but like this fight feels so artificially difficult it’s almost unenjoyable. I see a patch in the future even tho I’m on the side of that not being needed. It’s one of those things where if you don’t play it perfect, you lose. Would just prefer a boss thats actually difficult compared to spamming HVTs on the map. Would prefer a boss fight that’s less dependent on them forcing a time gate. Phases are cool but there’s literally 6-7 phases they force you thru

I feel like they will change something about it. Rn its not about being hard its just straight chaotic. The artifact was at 40% health and i killed the mimic with the yellow artifact but there was no way i could focus on it since there were 2 amalgams, 2 doppelghast (1with the blue artifact) and a heavy zombie with the blue artifact. And on top of that the rotating sentinel artifact in the middle.

I understand them needing something harder but this is absurd. Maybe it picks 2 and keeps the same cycle but idk man. Maybe I just need to get better lmao

Its just focussing on the blue ones first and just go up and down depending on where the sentinel artifact is. Definitely still harder than the other maps easter eggs (terminus may be harder on solo still).
