if this is how a chh artist feels..imagine how a pastor feels every Sunday. all the services..funerals..counseling sessions..people forget these are real peoples. the burden that these guys carry for the sake of people they love and the message they believe in.

My father is a pastor. He just celebrated 25 years of ministry, which is crazy! But I can testify to this. I was able to experience this first-hand, and sometimes it made me have anger towards the church. They really forget that my father is an actual human with his own battles, but because he is the church leader, he has to suck it up many times just so he can go deal with the members of the church's problems. Aside from that, they forget he has a family too. I can't even count the times that family plans were ruined or cancelled because my dad had to go take care of somebody else's problems. As a kid you don't really understand, and you wish your dad wasn't a pastor just so you can live a normal life. But for us pastor's kids, our weekends were spent at church, while every other "normal" family went out on weekends. Being a pastor is not easy, it's an actual 24/7, on-call job. But let me tell you, now, at 22 years old, I would not trade being a pastor's son for anything in the world. And that just comes with understanding what my dad's purpose is. I can relate to this comment so much, but having lived it, I know that God's purpose is greater, and in the end, it'll be rewarded greatly.

@@johnotalvaro2832 exactly. I also grew up a Pastors kid. My wife's dad is also a Pastor and missionary so its on both sides of our family and I also teach and serve..and I'm a musician..sometimes ive had to teach..lead the music..and preach all in one Sunday..while also going to work during the week and trying to find alone time. the Christian life in general is not easy..but so worth it!

The original song sampled Logic's 44 Bars and sounded more raw (and in a way more honest), but the lyrics are essentially the same in both versions.

Andy got me questioning religion for so long to where I don’t even know what’s real anymore. And it sucks cause my mom and relatives are so religious and I unfortunately can’t seem to feel the same way. :(
@MrDroid05183 жыл бұрын
Your evolving as am I, loosing your religion seek relationship and keep faith, if we got it all figured out there's no point. Jesus wouldn't want you to be religious just faithful and honest leave the rest for God.
@jamie_11593 жыл бұрын
My philosophy is that if there is a god, I hope that being a good person is enough. There’s like 5,000 gods across different religions and it can’t be my fault for not choosing the right one. Just be the best you that you can be, I don’t think a god can knock that ✌🏼
@joelgolias23303 жыл бұрын
@@jamie_1159 Problem with that philosophy is that you can't be good enough. Nobody can. That's why Jesus had to die after living the perfect life that we couldn't. He paid the price of death that we deserved, and then he defeated it by rising from the dead to eternal life, which serves both as proof that what he said about how we should live life and follow him is true, and as a promise that we will join him in eternal life after we die. It's a simple truth, but so many find it hard to accept because they think that they can do it themselves.
@jamie_11593 жыл бұрын
@@joelgolias2330 and the problem with that is nearly every religion claims you need that religion to be truly saved
@jpwilliams52643 жыл бұрын
@@jamie_1159 the only thing Jesus asks of us is to believe that he is who he says he is, that’s it. The rest falls into place. Dont be swayed by religion or the rules that man makes up. As humans we have a hard time accepting grace, its getting everything while deserving nothing so we add achievements to justify the gift. Love God and love others, those are the commandments that Jesus lived by. Its really that simple.
