Saved from the breeder mother who has baby after baby ripped away within a few days of birth for profit. These folks sure look kind enough and the all appearances love these monkeys. As captive monkeys they certainly could have had a worse fate. However the fact that primates who have motions and grief and longing at all the things that make humans connect to them loved ones should never be poached or braiding captivity as pets. The cost is too high and lifelong.

I was visiting a landmine museum in Cambodia in 2007, they had a bunch of these roaming around and they were very tame. A little baby one climbed up my leg and settled in my arms, at that same moment, her brother leapt on to me and pissed all over my head and shoulder. Apparently he was trying to protect his sister. @kellison1838 Yes, after a while, they do, and whoever feeds & becomes their basic caretaker kind of becomes like a foster mom to the babies. It's really sad to watch them go through the trauma after they're taken away from their mom or when their mom is killed. Some people are only interested in making money off of selling these poor babies & they don't care how the happens.

Horrific ordeal for the little ones but very traumatic for the mothers as well to have their babies been taken away from them. That's one of the reasons why it's illegal to have wild animals in most Western European countries.

@keepinitreal3419 here in the USA as well. I live in New York, and it's illegal to own a monkey & New Jersey and Connecticut, too. There are some states that allow it in the southern states like Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, etc ...
