Full Synopsis:
Set as a direct sequel to Never Hike Alone (2017), Never Hike Alone 2 picks up with Crystal Lake’s haunted son, TOMMY JARVIS (Thom Mathews), who has all but given up on his search for the long lost JASON VOORHEES (Vincente DiSanti / Bryan Forrest).
However, when Tommy receives an emergency call to pick up injured hiker KYLE MCLEOD (Andrew Leighty), he will once again come face-to-face with the ghost of Crystal Lake, setting into motion a blood-soaked conclusion to their deadly rivalry.
Caught between the chaos is DR. DIANA HILL (Anna Campbell), still searching for answers to her son's disappearance in Never Hike in the Snow (2020), and the ever stubborn SHERIFF RICK COLOGNE (Vinny Guastaferro), who is convinced Tommy is responsible for it all.

That was an excellent transition! They just keep going from strength to strength and this looks to be the best directed part yet. It was just left up in the air and Im so grateful they are willing to continue that particular storyline and give it closure. It’s genuinely heartwarming to see Thom and everyone else are still embracing the franchise and the characters after all these years of not playing them! Already so many theory’s on how this is going to go. I love the callbacks on part 5, part 6 and especially part 4 with the boy on the dock. It’s obvious it resembles a young Corey Feldman (Tommy). But here is the huge question from what we have seen. Is it Tommy‘s son? Or is it Tommy still fighting with his inner mental demons. I have goosebumps Friday The 13th fans. I think Tommy is STILL fighting his inner demons. Thats why he sees Jason in a room with himself again like he used to in Part 5. He is trying hard to not lose control and get consumed by him. This is a love letter to the friday the 13th fans

Thank you for the keen insight Marc. The scene represents the two spectrums of Tommy's life. Young Tommy, before Jason Voorhees became much more than a school yard ghost story to him. Tommy in present day, his life being the result of the years of trauma that he has faced. In the dream, Tommy is protective of his younger self, hoping to shield him from what lays ahead in his destiny. In real life, we see exactly where that destiny has lead him and how it affects him to this very day. Tommy is tormented by the fact that Jason escaped the water grave Tommy made him in part 6. In all the years that followed, Tommy has searched high and low through the the forests around Crystal Lake but has yet to produce proof that Jason is still out there. All that will change on the night Tommy meets a lost hiker named Kyle Mcleod. Never Hike Alone 2 explores Tommy's life, the events that bought him to cross paths with Kyle McLeod, and an epic final showdown between Tommy and Jason that fans have been waiting decades to see. Our goal with Never Hike Alone 2 is to give fans of the Paramount Era Friday the 13th storyline an ending they truly deserve.

In what I assume is the first nightmare sequence is that Tommy Jarvis is speaking to his younger self, who is plunged into the lake by Jason Voorhees, meant to be a metaphor for Jarvis’s psychological trauma. I also noticed that the wall on Tommy’s room has numerous references to past Friday the 13th films, including the post-Jarvis that came after, such as Jason Takes Manhattan. I also noticed that Tommy kept Roy Burns’ mask, too. I wonder if he’s kept in touch with the other survivors of Jason’s onslaughts. That would be a cool scene to watch. Needless to say, I’m looking forward to this fan film sequel to Never Hike Alone. It’s such a shame we have to wait until October 13th!

Couldn't have said it better myself! I agree 100% Having Thom Mathews back is a big deal, especially to us Friday fans!! Tommy Jarvis is the other most important part of the F13 franchise, next to Jason, and the studios never brought him back, never ezplained what happened to him...and Megan. This 5 minute opening clip is beautifully shot, and loads of Easter eggs from the Paramount era of films, Mathews back and the great Corey Feldman look alike Young Tommy that was almost seamless if you look quick. This goes to show you dont need $20 million dollars to make a film that HONESTLY all of US fans have been asking for in a Friday film and they have failed after the 80s! And Hollywood wouldn't put honest to god PASSION into something like this and this felt like Paramount era F13!! I'm an 80s kid and grew up when these films were released in theaters. I was 8 yrs old in 1986 when Jason Lives came out, didnt see it until 1987 when the VHS was released and it was my entry point into the series and it has always been my favorite and consider it the best in the series and Thom Mathews has always been my Tommy Jarvis and having him back in this series feels like it did with Jamie Lee Curtis coming back for 🎃 2018!! Its a big deal for alot of ppl and for the fans!!

Unironically, Never Hike Alone is my favorite Friday film. It’s just perfect. Jason is scary from the moment he’s introduced. The hiker (I forget his name) was a decent character, and it even had fantastic fan service with Tommy and Axel. And above all, it was beautifully simple.

I love the characters of Jason and Tommy so this is awesome. I dont wanna start anything because I appreciate all filmmakers bringing us these films. That said though the production value on these NHA films eclipse all others. This preview feels like it was shot and edited in a studio. And my goodness the soundtrack. Damn well done. Only complaint I have is damn you for making us wait till October.
