Let's appreciate the fact that Kenya's economy was still the biggest in the region even before the Somalia civil war brought refugees to the country.

Kenya's GDP was 8.75 billion USD and a per Capita of 370 USD per annum. That's almost ten times bigger. At no time has Somalia ever been richer than Kenya. Statistics speak for themselves not just wild allegations.

Ok. But I want to see Kenyan citizens working in the government of Somalia. Not one Kenyan but 10 and above. Secondly I want to see Somalis employing Kenyan citizens in their businesses. Not to employ them as maids or watchman but to sit in their offices. Just like the Turkish, Afghan, Iran, and Lebanese restaurants I see many Kenyans working there. I'm not here to challenge anyone but I Love to see fairness because I once wanted to be helped with a loan by Somali community but they failed. I have applied to work in their Schools and I was never given a chance. Someone told me they only employ Somalis and I remember back in 80s and 90s my mom let Somalis in our house to sleepover, eat, take bath and even giving them money for their use. But what I see now is they have forgetten many who favoured them.

This type of construction is not good without proper city planning.. the drainage, sewers and water supply is now extremely strained since the infrastructure was not done at the same pace.. already have many blackouts and water shortage

But dont expect much from greedy slum lords who build githeri looking buildings and charge you an arm and a leg with no amenities like toilets, sewer, running water. all you have is a ramshackle one bedroom which is your bedroom kitchen, sitting room, no electricity, shared filthy pit latrines away from your bedroom used by everyone there is no privacy. This is why Rutos housing plan needs to take off like decades ago to bring dignity to the people of Kenya. And it won't change until we have a complete revolution in Housing and standards to be followed. if you build houses or apartments, you must have all amenities in house from toilets, running water, electricity.
