Their first album took off like a rocket ship and just as they started to touring for their second, while on stage a light truss fell on him crushing the back of skull, breaking his jaw, and bones in his neck and back. It took years of rehab for him but he has the voice to this day. He also did the vocals for the 2001 Mark Walberg movie “Rock Star”.

His name is Miljenko Matijevic but people call him Milley. He is still singing today with Steelheart and also on some solo work. You really should listen to his version of the song Hallelujah.

Well, he was definitely a screamer and not a moaner, wasn't he? That reminds me, if you get any complaints about the channel, just change the name to 'Whine Not! Reactions'. I'd like to see this performance in a glassware factory, that would be interesting. Not seen this band before and know nothing about them, probably because there is no UK chart entry for them at all. Computer does say they are Connecticut Yankees, but I appreciate the "y'all" in your reaction. The whole southern charm thing works very well in this house, so please don't change on our account. I think my favourite screamer from the east coast is probably Bon Jovi - Livin' On A Prayer and It's My Life are favourites. It also occurs that an empty glass really means you need another refill.

Well Miljenko Matijevich really destroyed his falseto voice drinking and smoking in the 90's . That mixture usually does it . He doesn't have this vocal range really anymore , but has still toured small clubs for the last 20 years .

He did not ruin his voice from drinking & smoking. In the 90's a lighting truss fell on him & he was injured pretty severly. Had to relearn how to walk & his recovery side lined the band. Then grunge came in & that really put the band & their style of music on the back burner. Age & the set back of his injuries have made it where he may not be able to hit those ultra high notes but he can still sing better than a lot of other singers from that time period.

@@rogerdaly6326 I'm sorry , but Miljenko was a heavy smoker and drinker in the 90s . He is shown smoking and drinking while onstage in a Japan tour in 1992 . But I would believe those injuries didn't help his health or voice either .

Great reaction!! Most people who hear this amazing guy's voice, are simply stunned and I always enjoy watching their reactions. By the way, Mike, the lead singer, was seriously hurt one time during a live show, when a section of steel lighting truss fell, hitting him in the back of the head, and slamming him to the stage floor. That incident put a hold on Steelheart for awhile, but he survived, and he is back, and he sounds great. Sadly though, he no "longer," has long hair, hehehe!! Also, just wanted to say, you look a lot like Florence Henderson! Enjoy that wine!! You also just got a new subscriber!

dude was almost killed when the rigging he was climbing on collapsed. took him nearly 20 years to recover but he did and is singing again, and at nearly 60 can still belt out those high notes. :)
