I just have to say what a fantastic looking family. Michael W. Smith is one of the most successful Contemporary Christian artists. I have seen him 4 times in concert so far. This song actually made the top 40 charts. I really like his song and video to Secret Ambition, but he has way to many hits to name them here. Please go down this rabbit hole, you will not be disappointed.

Taken back to my preteen/teen days. What a great flashback! Michael W. Smith was one of the top contemporary Christian singers then, amongst the likes of Amy Grant, Rebecca St. James. Carmen did some amazing songs too, David Meece, and quite a few others. I think between Michael W. Smith, Amy Grant and David Meece they pretty much make up my preteen soundtrack.

I have been a huge fan of Michael W. Smith since his debut album of 1983, and he is one of only a couple Contemporary Christian Artists I still listen to regularly. (The other major one is Michael Card, who I recommend as well) There are so many great songs of Michael's through the years, but here's a few: Never Been Unloved, Friends (Are Friends Forever), Missing Person, I'll Lead You Home, Song For Rich, I Will Be Here For You, Could He Be the Messiah. These are all from his first twenty years, but he's pretty much awesome all the way through his career, tough to go wrong with his stuff. If you react to Michael Card, try God's Own Fool or Joseph's Song.

This guy came out at the same time Amy Grant did. I wasn’t a fan of contemporary Christian music but the other kids at church love love both of them. I do remember Amy Grant getting a whole hell of a lot of hate because she went mainstream.
