I played plenty of Street Fighter, I was just bad at it, lol. Actually I got pretty consistent when it came to Fireball or Dragon Punch motions... but Zangief's Spinning Pile Driver? Forget about it, I could only do it like 10% of the time, and that's if the opponent was just standing still.

Awesome video. I remember as a kid emulating the old NES version, and could never figure out how to use Blitz against Vargas. I eventually just overleveled then beat him traditionally which took a long time, and made the world of balance too easy. So glad to have access to the Pixel Remasters where I was able to replay the games at an appropriate level. It was a completely different experience.

Grinding until you could inflict 11,600 HP damage in under a minute (to beat the Doom timer) at that point in the game, to avoid pressing Left, Right, Left? I won’t say you didn’t do it, but I’m going to assume you never saved Lucca’s mom in Chrono Trigger, because that requires pressing 4 buttons and can’t be circumvented with levels.
@ry295011 ай бұрын
@@nameforcomments4092 It was through emulation so there was a speed up button that significantly reduced the time to grind. The problem I had was being a simple minded adolescent couldn't figure out how to make Blitz work since the NES version doesn't give a menu or pop up screen showing inputs so I just assumed it was bugged/glitched. I completely understand why you would call it out though, and I assure you that I never did that again after I finally figured out what I was doing wrong at a later part of the game. You did assume correctly for Chrono Trigger because I never got to that scene in that game, but I definitely want to dive into it in the near future.

Learning this was such a lifesaver in the game! No more “hoping” that Sabin’s blitz accepts your diagonal inputs - Slap a Hero Ring on and get to blitzin’! 😉

I've always been so terrible at any game that requires button combos, which includes fighting games so Sabin was always an underutilized character for me so I just spammed pummel the entire game. The pixel remaster has breathed new life into the character for me!

Dinosaur Forest is overrated for EXP in the World of Ruin. It would be the best EXP spot if you consistently got 2x Tyrannosaur encounters, but you don't. Instead, I train just outside the forest, and beat up the TumbleWeeds. They always come in packs of 4, give like 80% of the EXP of a 2x Tyrannosaur encounter, are way easier to kill, and are way less dangerous. You can even cast Vanish on your party, and they can't damage you at all (unless you leave 1 Tumbleweed alive and hit it for non lethal damage). Tumbleweeds are vulnerable to Fire.
@TheReturnersHideout11 ай бұрын
That’s another really super good spot, but I’ve personally always had better results from a time vs exp-earned standpoint. Just take a single character with Genji Glove and Master’s Scroll/Offering and I let it essentially play itself! Thanks so much for watching and commenting, MrEvilbyte!
@veghesther320411 ай бұрын
And their like lv 50 or so enemies so lv 5 death kills the Tumbleweeds instantly and so can Banish/X zone to kill them all at once.
@CD-Gaming5 ай бұрын
I use that desert area with the Worms and Cactuars! You get a sizeable chunk of Exp., especially with one Party Member (that's what I used to do), the Worms dish out 5 AP, the Cactuars 10 AP and both drop a whopping 10,000 Gil! Relm could take out the Worms in a Dualcast Blizzara & Blizard and, I forget how I managed it, but their Sandstorm counterattack did 0 Damage to her! Plus, on the GBA and iOS Version, you can get the Cactuar Esper, which is INDESPENSIBLE for a trick I'm going to be abusing in my Let's Play, although, I'm saving it for the endgame and prep for Dragon's Den!

While the Dinosaur Forest is the best place to farm experience, the plains just outside the forest aren't so bad, themselves. Intangir can be beaten by having someone cast Stop on it, then everyone going ham on it. If it cannot be defeated in time, it will cast Meteo, then make itself go back to "Sleep." Since Meteo does insane damage, and this is before one can acquire the Phoenix Magicite, it is wise to take Gau along with you and have him use the Destroyer Rage, as the special ability this Rage uses is none other than Reraise. Destroyers, of course, must be defeated in the Magitek Research Facility before they will appear on the Veldt.

I do the Lete River cycle pre floating continent with Bismark and Zoneseek equipped on who I want as my physical attackers and magic users accordingly. Get Sabin's vigor up enough, equip him with a Genji Glover and offering, and you're approaching 7000-8000 a turn.

He's such a powerhouse that I discovered far too late in my FF6 journey. Same with ... most of the characters it turns out lol. I've never thought about going back to the Lete River before the Floating Continent, but I do imagine it's fairly solid and not a whole lot of effort is needed on the player's part!

@@TheReturnersHideout This is more of an old school trick, as a turbo controller was the optimal way to go about. Definitely made it less grindy if you had other things to do. Black belt and cure ring to ensure long term survival. You could let your game run a couple hours while doing other stuff then swap out the 2 team members until you hit your desired level.
@veghesther320411 ай бұрын
About that nearly EVERYTHING only uses Physical hits so if you want to go back BEFORE Phantom is summonable Celes MUST FIRST JOIN AT LV 48 so that she joins WITH Vanish usable since Gau's Rage is NOT reliable to use the spell that way on the entire party since its still a Single target spell one where the Rage is just not reliable.

Blitz techniques are just street fighter moves. I used to always change Sabins name to Guile. You gotta roll the diagonals, from down to left, not down, pause, down + left, pause, left, no its just a fireball, or a spinning kick, or an upper cut etc...
