Great video. I especially liked added hi-hat accents ("enhancer hats") panned left and right. I'd pan them all the way though (left or right depending) because that's more baller. Thanks, Leo!

Label: Drums are too basic. Leo: …. Great video, sir. Sometimes I prefer melodic complexity over percussion complexity, and very few artists can do both without things getting too crazy. (Like maybe Overwerk) Of course, I can’t even do basic well, so……

Of course mate!! I see what you're saying. But the videos is mainly intended to give options to people looking for this, not necessarily to have it all! Don't forget to join our Discord Channel abstraktmusiclab.com/discord

Nice video, it helps a lot to understand the dynamics of a groove and where your elements might be weak. That said, I believe there's too much hype about how boring is your groove. Look at huge bangers such as Opus from Prydz, or Jerome Isma-ae, just using 10-15 tracks, without ear Candys, nor humanisation at all. As I see it, if your song is musically boring, then yes, you need to put a lot of sugar on it, but if you have a superlative melody or vocals nobody will pay any attention to your drums on esteroids. So, don't get crazy about adding complexity per se, and just add some salt or sugar if really needed.

I 100% agree with you. Not a must, but if you feel you need to, always nice to have options right? That's the purpose of the video!! To show people different options to do this Don't forget to join our Discord Channel abstraktmusiclab.com/discord
