You're right, the Edge browser does have a reading feature! What sets Audemic apart is that it’s tailored specifically for research and academic use, offering more than just text-to-speech. It provides summaries, read-along features, note-taking, and personalized insights, making it a comprehensive tool for anyone working with in-depth research...

The Eleven labs reader app totally destroys this app. Honestly this app is years behind the cutting edge.

Honestly, I feel like you've lost quite a lot of credibility in my eyes from taking the sponsorship of such an obviously shitty tool. It's not that I'm not against you doing sponsorships-obviously you have to earn money-but this particular tool is garbage! Firstly, it's using digitally generated voices from like five years ago. In the last two years we've seen an explosion of AI voices that sound massively more realistic, and these guys have not caught up. Secondly, even in your demo it gets the text wrong by skipping ahead and you just breeze through it as if there was nothing wrong with it. Eleven labs or notebookLM are lterally 10x better and totally free. You KNOW this tool sucks and yet you promoted it.

I appreciate your perspective on the sponsorship. While this tool may not be as advanced as some alternatives, I chose to partner with them because I believe they provided value for certain use cases. Your feedback about AI voice technologies is valuable and will help inform my future partnership decisions. Thank you for mentioning other tools that you believe are better for researchers. I will make sure to investigate them for future content.

Natural Reader is a great tool too. What makes Audemic stand out is its ability to not only read academic papers but also provide summaries, key insights, and even let you sync your own papers or Zotero library. It's designed specifically with researchers and academics in mind to make consuming knowledge easier and more efficient!

@@jose_audemic dude, even Google Gemini can do this. A tool this basic in 2025 is laughable.
