Welcome to the official Whose Line Is It Anyway KZbin channel, where you can find all of the best bits from the latest version of the show, hosted by Aisha Tyler, with returning veterans Ryan Stiles, Wayne Brady and Colin Mochrie.
Each episode, a special guest star joins the comics as they tackle a series of spontaneous improvised sketches, with only a few random ideas from the studio audience and their host. With little information and a lot of imagination, the comics depict a variety of characters and scenes, and even perform songs. At the end of each round, Aisha awards points to each of the four performers and announces a winner at the end of every episode.

*Wow, they "improv" a Rock-Opera and the band just happens to be there and ready to play. And to think some people still believe this show isn't planned/rehearsed/scripted.* 🙄

Laura Hall and Lynda Taylor have been musicians on this show for a LONG time.... there's some good tuning between them and the performers. And they play pretty set beats and tunes for each genre. Wayne is extremely skilled at making up lyrics on the fly while maintaining pitch, and the others are only a few steps behind. Also, you should check out the bloopers from when these guys actually mess up. It's not a live show after all, they remove the takes where mistakes are made.

@@yashvbanthia *I've been watching the show fairly consistently since the mid-90s and the original UK version of the show. The show is planned/scripted/produced, because that's how television is made, especially Hollywood/American TV.* *The fact that Hall and Taylor are good musicians, or that Brady can sing, has no bearing on whether the show is planned or not- the fact they're there on stage and just by pure coincidence a musical number breaks out is absurd. You have to be stupidly credulous to think the show is improvised.*

@@MattSingh1 I am not calling it either way, I would just like to point out that the causality may be different than you suggested... "Wow, they "improv" a Rock-Opera and the band just happens to be there and ready to play" --> may as well be "Colin is aware that Laura and Lynda are there, so he figures on the spot that he can use them in this game" It's not that hard to imagine (especially when they've all been doing this for quite a long time) that he could make this connection on the spot; they would play generic progression that the comedians can work with... the rhymes small+all, ride+inside are also quite easy/generic and they've probably used them a lot of times before

The band doesn't "happen to be there", the band is literally there because they've been hired. To play music. Professionals don't need to discuss what they're gonna play for 20 minutes. They're pretty much always ready to play.
