It's not that you can't play QB at 285, it's that it's fact that at 220-230 he'd be faster and more agile. He currently lacks discipline in his diet and exercise, but he could fix that if it really matters to him. Hyping someone up just because you can isn't always the right answer, he needs someone to tell him the facts if they want to truly see him succeed.

My son got a full ride to play college He had always been a quarterback. Could throw 70 yards on the money and was top 20 in 247 sports Once he got to college the coach changed him to tight end one of the best in the league. This kid looks great but for a quarterback he doesn’t have the legs He could possibly go into college and try to cut weight his first season as a red shirt but college will put him on the line right now

Head coach told me this year that if he comes back 6'3 and around 180-190 his azz getting moved to WR 😆. He's dealing with this at the highschool level. We all are not trying to down the kid but the business is a reality in football at the next level. Prime example Antwan Randle El turned WR. So I get where your coming from.

Everybody be honest with him, he needs to get his weight down to play at the NFL level. He is basically running around with a 40 pound weight vest on, slowing him down, but he does have the benefit of basically training this whole time with a 40 pound weight vest on.
