Back in high skool we were working the fields in the spring planting seed in our AG class. The teacher was yapping about something with planter settings and I was standing besides the running Deere, with my arms crossed, and getting the warmth off the tractor. Meanwhile...a couple Meatheads got to pushing each other beside me playing around. I got bumped and my left elbow went right in the fan! It cut halfway through the elbow bone and had blood spraying everywhere! Basically...I learned this lesson way back in skool!😂🤣😂🤣

@Jpaydirt I can permanently remember the sound the blades made when they hit it! If that counts?🤣🤣 They dug a couple bigger pieces of bone out and stitched it up. It was a clean/straight cut on the left elbow. I was scheduled for a Thursday in the following 10 days for stitches to come out. The Weds night before, after dark in the rain at the intersection, the local hospital is on. A guy ran a red light with his 9-month pregnant wife and T-bone my truck on the passenger side and smashed me into a truck with a boat. Then the guy behind him did the same thing and rear-ended him. 5 of us got gurnied into the hospital. I had to get 30 plus stitches on my left arm from broken glass, and the doctor saved me a trip back in the morning and removed the old fan blade stitches at the same time!🤣

Back in 2000 I was a asphalt plant operator near Teton Idaho. While I was warming up the plant one morning my loader operator was fueling up while the trucks coming for mix were dieseling down their beds. The loader operator was inspecting something in the engine compartment of the 644 john deere loader. He lost his balance and shoved his hand into the fan. Luckily it was at the end of the blades near the shroud. It fileted his index and birdie fingers the entire length of them. I could tell something bad happened from the dog house, and grabbed the med kit and ran as the truck drivers helped him my way. We wrapped it up and hauled ass to the Rexburg hospital (in his truck, I didn't want blood all over in mine😂😂😂). They patched him up, but 20 some years later I don't think he can bend em much.

Careful there Jeff it's easy to lose those digits I aught to know because me and three finger Joe have something in common. I lost two digits about ten years ago when a chain binder holding a log skidder on a trailer broke. In other words I had my hand in a bad place when it broke. Right on the chain as it was hooked up to the chain ratchet binder. Love the videos as you pull no bull on your channel you tell it like it is. Manufactured parts and service from the big companies sucks.

I almost joined the “Three-Finger Joe” club when I accidentally put my hand into a running sawmill band blade. I paid to have one finger sewn up and counted my blessings and good luck. Could have been SO much worse.
