I rarely watch the news here in the USA, I either hear stuff from my sister or my coworker, and hate click bait such a waste of time reading those. It was -31 here last week in Minnesota I'm a former Californian so I felt like I was dying at the few moments where I had to walk to the car to go home from work. Congrats on the two boys seen the cute pics you posted on IG the other day.

Growing up in country australia we’d get 45-50 degree days. And surrounded by red sand. It’s dry heat in the North. Now they were hot days!! I think I’m just so used to it now but that was a longggg time ago so 38 feels so so hot these days. But we are in el Nina right now ( wet summer) but we will still get some 40 degree days :) I remember when I moved to London. I’d never experienced cold like that!! Then I went to Ireland and it was bone chilling. But reading these comments of -10 -20 plus haha I don’t know how you all adapt. X.

Haha just getting to know people all over the world too hearing there low cold temperatures I’m like 🥶. I think I’d rather put up with our 38 degree days!! I’ll never complain about our cold days here again 😂

I saw this song as the closest thing to political they have ever been. Like cherrylane said, the news is very political here in the US. At the time he was writing these songs there was the Black Lives Matter and the Covid protests and gearing up for the next election and the battling news media calling each other fake news and all kinds of awful stuff. It all kinds of food into the song to me in a way that might be different than other people. But to me it was political. And very groovy! 😁

Knew you’d like this. Important message in this. Personally I think this stems from a personal incident that Tyler had with social media - I won’t get into it to avoid the conflicts it starts. But definitely this is a reflection on todays media & society. The part I like most is ‘educate yourself but never too much’ I think in relation to music this is great. Tyler was self taught & has often said he didn’t know the rules of music making which meant he was more creative & outside the box. This is where I think this comes from -to educate yourself but not s as o much that you blindly follow what you learn - keep thinking outside that box and apply creativity & your own thoughts to it. Also how I think this song goes hand in hand with the Outside.

In the USA the media (the news companies) are also politically or otherwise influenced. So it's biased there. I think that's what he is talking about. So you "better educate yourself" but not by watching the news too much. This morning it was -22 C in Finland. Oh and when they played this in the livestream last year, Tyler played the solo on the electric guitar himself. I'm getting my third jab on Friday. The Omicron is spreading in Finland like crazy, they stopped testing, tracking in Helsinki area. Also they had to set up a corona hospital there. Stay safe!

Hahahaha I can’t even fathom how cold that is!! 😂 I’d like to experience it though one day. Ha that’s cold just thinking about it. I started doing cold showers again and To me that’s ice!! But -36 haha ain’t no way! 😂 I’ll send some heat your way.
