Never Wear This On a Plane -Mamta Sachdeva Cabin Crew

The rules of in-flight fashion are different from those on the ground. When you’re sitting for hours in a metal tube flying 35,000 feet in the air, comfort trumps style. Wear an outfit that keeps you cozy and relaxed, and you’ll likely appear more chic than the traveler struggling with heavy bags in four-inch stilettos or the one sweating in too-tight synthetic fabrics. To look and feel your best while jet-setting, avoid the following in-flight fashion faux pas.
Here are some tips through my video:
Lace-up boots: Tough to get off and back on quickly.
Sandals: Unsanitary, and unless you are a model, looking at someone's hairy toes is unpleasant.
Metallic shirts: The bling will set off alarms, and unless you have another shirt under it, removing it could be a problem. Leave it home for your next night at the clubs.
Big metallic jewelry: Another way to trigger that metal detector is with a huge metal necklace. Pack it in your luggage.
Loose fitting hoodies: It might work for Eminem, but average folk will look suspicious and are inviting a pat down.
Shirts with hateful or controversial logos on them: Just get in the strip search line. You look like trouble.
And from the "doesn't that stink" file: wearing lots of layers and a scarf to the airport during the winter months. If the agents think you might be hiding something, you'll get to take it all off, and you'll probably say "doesn't that stink?"
One jacket should be enough, and that way you'll zip through security.
So dress light, and keep the oversized and metallic accessories in your carry-on bag, so you get on that plane safely and you don't waste your money.

nice tips :) would like to add couple more...never take any type of alcohol drinks while flying, for health issues and common courtesy issues...next point, everyone must take care of their trash and dispose properly,not store in the seat pouch...another important point is for girls/women- please wear a napkin on you and carry a kit in your purse even when it is not that time of the month-travel stress can cause changes in the body- better to be prepared...also,carry a set of change of clothes ,just in case:) in general, be good to all,we never know what someone else is going through in life...SMILE ,it does not cost anything to be a nice person:) ignore petty things and enjoy the travel:) God bless good souls everywhere!:)

Interesting points! Some are very informative. An us boarding flights from Canada here, during minus --25 degrees winters here (or colder) with heavy snow etc so we walk into the airports with out winter coats & winter boots which are much required here!

You should have as well included one point here And that is people who remove their shoes. It smells shit and they themselves can smell it but they still go ahead and remove them. I have faced couple of times on long flights. The second thing is that some indians have the habit of asking for extra food like chicken etc and it's very embarrassing when you are on international flights ... Flights not run by India. The crew members find hard to explain to some uncles that they have run out of some food they demand. Nevertheless, I like your videos. Very informative👌👌it would be great if you can as well put some videos what all stuff we can carry to European countries or to the states, especially the prohibited items in food or plants or seeds. Asking for extra food if you really going to eat it is not a bad thing. Even the westerners do that.the food on the flights if not eaten goes directly in waste,no one eats that food so if someone has a good appetite and asks for a extra meal i dont think thats anything to be embarrassed about. Its better than throwing that food in rubbish.

The flight attendants keep apologizing them but they don't understand. They still argue and ask. Sometimes people wear stinky socks and they remove their shoes on board it makes other people uncomfortable. Yakk one incident happened with me when I was traveling Delhi to Dubai one family of six males were traveling and sitting behind us. They all removed their shoes to sit comfortable but it makes everybody uncomfortable and everyone was feeling yaak. Finally we called the attendant and shared our problem. We all forced them to wear their shoes again.
