Pretty sure it is just a matter of tweaking the tone differently to suit the Nevermore sound. I agree this is a cool tone but not the right one though:)

The tone is not right for Nevermore but otherwise this is absolutely killer ! You should try to emulate Alex Webster's (Cannibal Corpse) tone. Might work perfect for this.
