The Navy would never allow me to travel and perform unfortunately... One can dream. It's funny because 3 friends of mine have played with him in the past from my home town. We all loved nevermore as kids and I guess it's all full circle.

Very close attention to detail. I heard that flavor that gives of Warrel Dane with your own voice. The first belted higher notes were uncanny and it sold me! I hear you could never commit to Nevermore. But I have to ask. Would your voice hold up to singing like this for an hour and a half? It was an enjoyable listen.

Thank you man! Honestly, the technique is really easy to me and comes naturally especially vs vocal fry. Honestly I don't use my throat for these raspy vocals or anything. I think I could. You actually make me curious to see if I could make a "full set" video for an hour.

@seigneurfred666 they say "you're doing something right when hate comes your way." The Shure SM7B is a very low volume microphone with a very tight cone. I'm not slamming mu hand into the mic nor touching the cone. This is why you don't hear it. This is a raw take (obviously).

hey Mike, i've watched both of your audition vids for the songs that they have requested and I have to say this. You did an amazing job. Here is my completely subjective opinion. I think they are looking for someone who is showcasesing their individual chops, not just someone who sounds just like Warrel did. I think what they actually want to hear is a new fresh voice that can breath new life into the sound of Nevermore, while also being able to handle the past discography live. You just sound exactly like Warrel. Its like you're trying out for a tribute band, and imo, i think they are looking for more than that. THIS IS JUST MY FIRST IMPRESSIONS. Again you have a fantastic voice.

They don't want a clone, be it looks, stage, persona, but someone to keep it true in honoring him.
