I love this stuff in my hair!! BUT the cologne is OVERPOWERING (I don't wear cologne -- and you can smell this all day!!!). I had to stop using it. But it's great if you have really A LOT of fine hair that you want A LOT of texture in (it's an awesome product if you can tolerate the overpowering smell). The hold reminds me of thick Lockhart Enigma.

I got fire and brimstone a while back and I have to say, at first I thought it was only, meh. But I've been using it more frequently recently and really enjoying it. I think once I got a good bit down into it, like not just that first layer, it became nicer. It's probably where my hair is right now as well. Mt hair is dry, coarse, dense and very wavy, curly if I let it airdry. Wondering if I will get Nevermore or Antigravity next. My Northern lights is running low

Thanks man! I'd say Nevermore would be better for you - Fire & Brimstone clay is great too but it is on the heavier and oilier side, so I think for thin hair the lightness and thickening effect of Nevermore would be a better fit.

Not really - while they do both have strong hold, they are so vastly different from one another that I would not compare them otherwise.

TDM Style what do you spray your hair with when you first get out of the shower before you blow dry it? I suffer from that same problem, if I let it air dry I look like a clown

Valente Leanos 25 spray from TheSalonGuy has been my saving grace. I use it every time I wash my hair - so far it’s still hands down the best smoothing/anti-frizz thing I’ve ever used. Makes my hair feel super soft and healthy.

Hmm I know that feel. I mean it is a really nice matte paste, but I don’t necessarily grab it over other stuff like Fuertes clay if I’m honest. If you’re in the market for a matte paste though this one is really nice.

I prefer Nevermore since I'm more of a clay/paste/texture guy and Phantasm was more of a waxy/pomade-ish feel. Probably about the same tug/pull on both.

What is the 25 prestyler you mentioned? I have very coarse dry think hair and frizz kills me. Use blumaan or p&p salt spray as prestyler currently! Thanks!

25 spray by TheSalonGuy - I did a video on it a while back. It’s amazing stuff! I tend to stay away from sea salt sprays because they tend to add to the coarse frizziness for me.

Monarch is completely different in every aspect so I don’t really think it’s a worthwhile comparison. Monarch for me was not matte, not a strong hold at all, and the texture was very separated. So basically the opposite of this lol
