After watching this video, it sounds like a great game, and in the past, I tried 2-3 games digitally that were similar to Triple Triad. Even thought I don't think I'll be able to back Neverrift right now, I wish them success in a good campaign, and I hope Maindeck will be able to cover more of the game in the future once its released at retail.

This Game is similar to a Ninjago TCG I played. The difference is that it is a 3x3 grid, you only could play one action card per turn and there are vehicles that boost your units stats. But the game is much simpler because units have no effects

I remember when this game first popped up there were 2 other Triple Triad games that had also popped up within a month or two. Unfortunately one of them died before it really even released and the other one went MIA, so Neverrift is the last one standing. I'll have to check a look.

Looks a lot like Paragon which is in prelaunch atm. Big fan of expanding on Triple Triad style gameplay so interested to see how this plays out! Big questions naturally stands with support outside the initial set release :D

Yes, I've heard that Paragon is finally gearing up to launch after a quite a wait! Ongoing support is definitely the big question and with all KS TCGs it's the major point of concern. One thing that stands out to me about this one is the company, Gate to the Games, is already a very successful TCG store in Germany, so there's some capital and internal support there for the project. The fact that they have an app already developed before the KS even funded is pretty impressive!

What games are you thinking of when you say you don't tend to like card games with a grid? The card games with a grid that come to my mind are Summoner Wars, Mage Wars, Sorcery: Contested Realm, and Pixel Tactics. Games like Warlord have positioning and games like Solforge Fusion have lanes, but that's not quite the same thing. BattleCON, Exceed, and Sakura Arms also have positioning, but it's a track, not a grid.

For TCGs, Sorcery and Genesis for ones that are currently available, and there are several games coming to KS in the future that I've played as well (Eikonic and Grimpath). I haven't played Summoner Wars or Pixel Tactics, but I have played Mage Wars. Those being non-TCGs does tend to adjust my expectation and my personal investment in them, so they tend to work a bit better for what I'm looking to get out of the experience.
