There are several worthless items like that. Vanguard fighter (with almost zero ranged attack) gets bonus power when >25 feet from opponent.

I'm really happy you made this video. As I main a TR I never really noticed that distance but I have many fellow players that do main ranged classes and they've been building a crap ton of CA just to not be able to take full advantage. Keep up the good work! : )

I noticed the same. As a ranger, I miss old Aspect of the Pack. This has me rethinking rotations quite a bit. I do notice bigger hits at melee. Interesting stuff - thanks!

Yep wizards are the top notch this mod and in my opinion second to them are rogues. It’s frustrating as a warlock you can’t compete with them. 🤬

CW and HR in my opinion. I have yet to be in a group with a good rogue so unsure about them. SW underperforms in this mod imo, I can out dps them at 21k ilvl (HR) when they are 24k.

Damn, man. If I was running a ranger class for as long as I ran my main only to find my CA bonus being wasted for fighting at range or not using powers granting CA, I would be hella pissed.

Great vid as always. So would you recommend NPNM/ACC for solo and D2D/ACC for dungeons. I gave up on SW at range so try to stay amongst the battle, makes it a bit easier for heal types to not being scattered.

Yeah I definitely like NPNM for solo play and even some dungeons if everything dies in under 5 seconds as there really isn't time to move around in melt groups. Some of it comes down to your tank too, some tanks run past the mobs before they start tanking so that the entire party has CA which makes it easier on the team overall.

I think they increased that bonus to 5% but typically that means it adds the base stat value of 5% instead of looking at what your CA is and then adding 5% of that number.

@@SolytheScourge thanks I'll need to experiment although given the current need to keep up close using a shadowstalker ring with x2 sniper's perk pieces for damage (given the hunting hawk issues) these boots hardly seem viable.

Why can't Cryptic make a feature that allows us to send our pets into combat in order to grab aggro? That would give us some control over our pets. I remember a system like that in WoW with the hunter and warlock.

Yeah it would be interesting, although it probably would have to replace our tab mechanic which they dedicated a bunch of feats/choices around soul scorch so it is unlikely to happen.

I started a Gith ranger and now I realize it might be one of the worst Races for ranger... fml Actually just tested this and I still get combat advantage at long range.

arcanist wizard have combat advantage buff in feats

Yeah it used to be a party buff, but now is a self buff for WIzards only if they pick that path.

The gwf was all ways badass for CA but now my warlock is not so good now and warlock was never meant to fight up close they have kind of messed up the game a, bit as the game's maps are too small to have a range fighters the maps need to be made bigger that would be helpful for us range fighters as I don't like to have 5 people in my face and kill me it's up close fighters in my team that's what they do it's there class that is there skill not mine we lung range fighters have no defence to up close we get dead everytime .

Cw and Hrs are already Op. If they change this can you imagine those two classes ability.. you will literally kill your SW. No one will play him. My advice Be a Healer. Ima Gwf Tank now. Adapt with the times

Yeah I use it solo and in melt groups, on bosses or when things are staying alive longer I usually take it off for an extra feat and move around for natural CA
