Thank you. I love the workshop tutorials. 1) Use your daily workshop morale 2) crafting in workshop uses less morale than crafting outside it. Although, a workshop sending stone unlocked through quest chain makes collecting and crafting easier outside of workshop. 3) Miracle Workers are good artisan. 3) for gold farming, find cheap ingredients to make make nice priced items (quartz rings, Hartshorn rings, Leather Halfboots, Hard leather belt are ones I like to craft). 4) when levelling profession I found it easy to focus on crafting, crafting ingredients (silk thread, Ingots, lumber). 5) if levelling up workshop, Gold needles or myrrh are nice commission items . 6) Master work (MW) 1 is easy with a level 20 artisan and a level 20 tool and +1 items are fairly frequent. But, beyond MW rank 1 there is a lot of grind. 7) have fun. enjoy.

Alchemy is fun, because you can always consume what you craft and you craft them just using adventure materials, you can craft heal potions buff potions and even bomb-like potions that can deal direct damage or stun enemies and things like that, compared to gear professions which you can either wear once in a life time on each toon or sell it in the auction house mostly for way less than it costs to craft.

Crafting and leveling your craftsmen and artisans was so much easier when you had access to the Neverwinter Portal on your tablet or phone when the game first came out. You could level your henchmen by doing adventures and you could do all kind of things while not at your computer/console. I remember playing the game at home and leveling my pets and craftsmen by doing quests on the Neverwinter Portal. However, people abused the system and were botting the portal so they had to shut it down.

Things I noticed I'd like to add to your info: - We can craft the tools for each profession. Blacksmithing crafts most of the tools, Jewel Crafting makes needles for Tailoring, Artificing crafts it's own tools. With luck an artisan can craft items 3 levels higher than the profession level (50/50 chance). - If the workshop stays busy constantly crafting something and gathering something applications continue to come in until we've had all the artisans available in the game apply to work for us. If we don't have the workshop doing anything applications will be less frequent. Applicants are as frequent as the workshop is busy. - Every item level has something cheap to make that profits copper by selling it to a common vendor. This makes grinding the workshop and leveling up the professions and gatherers for new players well worth it. We can make a minimum of 10 gold crafting and selling level 1 items that cost 5 morale and sell them to a vendor for profit. It's a quick, easy, free way to collect copper, silver and gold than questing and adventuring or campaigning. On average it costs around 3 gold to have the workshop running all day each day. It works out to be a profitable. Keeping gold keeps the workshop running. - I agree it isn't a great way to farm Astral Diamonds crafting items and selling them on the auction. Some items do sell on the auction but they're hit or miss and not all of them sell quickly and almost nothing we craft sells for a whole lot of AD quickly unless we spam a pile of 99 bear leather (for example) and sell it for a low price that really isn't worth all the time it took to craft all of them; 100k. I, too, thought and was hoping I could create an income crafting and auctioning but it just doesn't work out to be profitable enough to be worth it. - The info on nw4noobs [dot] com is good info for a starting point but it does not mention or cover workshop or trading credits and leveling up the workshop past level 3. When the workshop gets to level 3 the credit items change to higher level profession items and the list on nw4noobs is no longer relevant, the great info shared on that site for professions doesn't cover the info needed to get the workshop to level 4. - At level 3 we can have 22 artisans. We can never have more than 3 crafting tasks and 3 gathering tasks. We're limited to 6 tasks total the whole time. What I found that works best for me is to spam the same item for a whole day from the day reset in the game until around 8 hours before the day reset. At 8 hours before the day reset in the game I switch up what my artisans are crafting, the profession I'm leveling or making a credit item with, and keeping my adventurers gathering stock a day ahead of what I plan to craft. Having a strategy and plan levels the workshop and professions and artisans much quicker than doing whatever whenever. Plan and spam. - My suggestion is first starting with Leather working and level it and Jewel Crafting up to 14, then level Blacksmithing to 14, then wood working, then alchemy. Alchemy is the hardest and the items for alchemy have the lowest sales, credit, and profit margins so in my opinion leveling Alchemy up first is shooting yourself in the foot - it's going to take forever starting with Alchemy getting anywhere with the workshop. Start with Leather, Jewel Crafting, or Blacksmithing. Articifing will come in need around level 11 when you level up blacksmithing to 11 because a lot of the items blacksmithing requires is wood based or textile based ingredients (wood working or tailor profession crafted items).

Ranking professions costs a LOT of gold. There are always crafts that have something that makes a profit in gold. I usually use the Potions of Healing from Alchemy. My Alts generate the gold for my mains while I sleep. With Jewelcraftng, there are artisans with -75% Commission fee, so one of my semi-Mains makes those kits and jewels during Double Refining, as they cost half the Morale and only 31,250 AD. Some of them have double results or negate the Commission or Morale cost. Rank 3 - make Beeswax Rank 4 - make Myrrh or buy Black Ink from the Retainer. New players will not have old Assets to trade for Asset Exchange Crdits to buy Materials Exchange credits, but NEVER spend AD. {:-:-:}

As an alternative to the combat grind, crafting can be enjoyable and quite relaxing. It can also be nice to get a player come up to you and say "Could you craft this for me? Here are the ingredients." It's like "Yeah, yeah buddy I can do that for you" :D But you REALLLLLY need to enjoy crafting. If not, I wouldn't even bother, other than as a way of making gold (do it on all your toons, craft those leather visors! Ker'chingggg!).

Oddly enough, The Thing No One Mentions, because it's a granted .... is to NEVER even bother to attempt going after Master Crafting until you have a Mythic Forgehammer on the character you wish to take to Master Crafting. I don't even know what it would be like now to lvl up another master crafter. I have 5 or 6 with all trades maxed, but only 1 master crafter (everything maxed in Tradeskills) And that was expensive back then! Probably like well over 200mil AD (or more, prolly more). And yeah, I KNOW I'll never recuperate that investment back ... got my 1 and done. So, I'll stop by the Workshop when I think about it or need to make something for some alt ... but otherwise, I usually just don't craft anymore.
@ethanschwartz94773 жыл бұрын
Cobalt tools are very cheap and almost equal to forgehammer. I do use the forgehammer, but it is a slight difference. And you can level up a craft to top level for like 10 mil, less if you are smart about it.

@@ethanschwartz9477 Yes, the times have changed .... My max MC cost just well over (actually, I forget but well north of 200 mil ... because was progressing it as new came out ... aka, well before workshop .. pre-Chult, etc)). Sure, I craft tools for the alts, but doubt I'll take another to max MC .. even with a cpl FH in bank.

@kloper5416 Жыл бұрын
I find miracle worker 20 or 25% matters more than commission fee reduction for making gold. The reduction may save you 1 silver per item(80 silver if you use the 5morale x80 items), but the miracle % gives yo 34 silver with every extra item and that makes 80x 34 silver + some 20x 34 silver extra. Leather Vest is more expensive to craft than leather visor, but is great for levelling while making gold at lower skill level. The cost reduction really matters with crafting the higher level items, that cost AD to make
@shadowblade56563 жыл бұрын
I'm not certain, I haven't properly done the math on them, but I think leatherwork's leather visor might be the best for gold profits. It's made with just two leather, which is 110 copper total, plus the lowest commission cost. Your halfboots for example are an extra 14 copper because of that cotton boll, plus an extra silver in commission cost. And having one item to worry about buying en masse makes it simple to remember. A lot of the other professions have crafts that need multiple different items, and some higher-cost items, like armorwork bronze bracers need an ingot and a plate, which is 285 copper, jewelcraft's copper ring is 170 copper. Alchemy seems to be the worst profit ratio because while the potions make 12, they don't sell for the same ~34 silver total. AFAIK, don't ever bother trying to make higher-level items to sell for gold because pretty much everything aside from alchemy sells for the same ~34 silver. Also, that one jewelcrafter is phenomenal, Haie Xilomne. -75% commission cost and +75% crafting speed is awesome, I've got him on all of my characters even if they're not even doing jewelcrafting yet lol. I don't know how his proficiency and focus stack up at the higher end yet, but it's hard to beat that cost reduction AND speed boost together.

@@Aragon- I've got some more bad news for him. Fighters are the worst DPS class in Neverwinter. Ouch. And I speak as someone whose first character was a fighter, and that character is still my main, but she's useless. Since the new adventure system came out, I've run Dwarven King, Maze Engine and A.I. many times on various toons - the only ones who struggle AT ALL are my fighters. They're also slow as hell at killing mobs, even with their two AOE encounters (which are decent but have long cooldowns). Compare that to the rogue, who insta-kills any mob, and the bard/barbarian/ranger/cleric (even Paladin!) who ALMOST insta-kill any mob (I don't use wizards or warlocks because I've never been able to make them powerful, despite great efforts), the fighter is slow and weak, and isn't even that tough either. Fighters, perhaps deliberately, are average in every regard, which is sad because before, when they were known as Guardian Fighters, before devs took their brash strike away and gave it to GWFs, they were awesome :( (They are, however, easily the fastest moving class! So that's something, I guess :D) My advice? Delete your fighter and make a barbarian, a bard, or indeed a rogue. If you're going to pour your effort into something, let it be something worthwhile.
@ryans7563 жыл бұрын
But yeah, on a more helpful note, getting your first mythic mount and mythic companion will boost you right up, plus being in a level 20 guild is 3000 item level thanks to the guild boons. Apart from that, better gear, high IL artifacts like the three cragmire artifacts (lantern, catalogue and waters) and upgrading mount insignias to epic makes a difference, but gets super expensive to get them to legendary and mythic, but eventually, sure, do that. However, everything else I just mentioned is worth it, plus getting armour/etc enhancements on your gear too (but only when you have gear WORTH putting them on - before that, it's a waste). Oh and your second mythic mount and companion will NOT make as huge a difference as the first did, so one of each, then steadily level up everything as you go - as you HAVE FUN playing the game :)

a bard is the current meta, but a rogue is so much easier to speed through things. I use my rogue as my main to farm for stuff, whatever I need on my cleric gets farmed by my rogue (bare character bound stuff). Although hold off deleting any character. Use the second slot. Fighter tank is still a tank (although paladins are better imo). Run as much rtq as you can and get at least 40 boons. That should make you passable for radq with 35k it lvl, remember, passable. If you have tarmalune bars spend them on the trade bar discount coming up soon. Alternatively, start crafting gold to use during the creation of Gond event. Run your insu and bel. Get watcher weapons or blessed. Farm each 5 in dread ring or mop4 in avenus. The easiest ofc is just spend money. Working 1 hour in real life gives you 10 usd which translate to 1 month vip
