Currently its a Complete Bs ability for a even more Bs paragon (classes are split into paragons) at maximum level, BUT you can still use a armor enchant called firestorm (or something like that) that well.. Shoots fireballs from your feckin armor, am the the only one who finds that epic?

Before level 30 I'm not entirely sure myself as i did not have a paladin at that level after mod 16 changes. For a tank it will allow you block massive hits at the cost of divinity. For a healer you can hold and channel it into a massive heal also at the cost of divinity.

@@Clawblade I played through with this character a bit but quickly changed my mind and went back, I experimented with different classes and races to see which ones work together and which ones are flexible, and then tried every single class. I decided on The Bard because you have ranged magic and sword and I can play a medieval guitar whenever I want like what bro I'm sold, the race however I kept going back and forth on, it seems that the Drow make the best Bards, but I didn't care for their aesthetic as much as other ones, eventually I decided that everything can be used with each other, you can make a half orc Warlock and it will still work to an extent, so I decided Bard because I'm musician irl, and Tiefling, because I like their little tails.

Im also new and my friend bought me the drow pack and was thinking of using a drow but im not a fan of pure dps because im usually a healer in other rpgs would the renegade or drow work for a wizard, warlock , or dps cleric due to the faeri fire for defense and damage nerfs i think( correct me if im wrong thats what they said ). Sorry about the late reply. Drow would be good for those, not perfect, but they have ability scores that can benefit all three. range can be good and i understand struggling when soloing, especially as a dps with low defense stats.

For classes, there is barbarian, wizard, rogue, ranger, bard, cleric, and warlock. As for race, select one best fits the class you're playing as. I tend to select my class first, even though the race is first on the character creation

Human is a decent all around race to use. Half orc is a top tier choice i feel for barbarians.

How dose a wizzy do solo, and do they get root and or snare type spells? And if wizzys are not good for solo in Neverwinter what spell casting (damage spells) class would be a good option, since there is no conjuror class is there any kind of pet system, tank or spell casting pets?

Alot of wizard powers are control effects (slowing, freezing) with some good damage attacks added in. Im not a wizard main, but have heard endgame content wizards are pretty awesome. You just have to get through the leveling slog cause it is very dull to level it up

Fighter is good. Either way incredibly good. Either way I think about the fighter for DPS is it so it’s ability it’s race ability chance to push stuff back all over your running around trying to collect it off and kill it. It’s kind of annoying actually.

tough starting out, but you have lots of options to choose from. my advice is to try each out and get a feel for them. don't play too long on them, maybe a day or two then switch, just so you don't invest too much into one and end up not enjoying it.

No necromancers. The closest would be warlocks with summoning soul puppets. For races, tiefling would be good for a dps. As a healer, go with half-elf as its the only class to boost wisdom.

Glad you're interested in jumping in. For a wizard you'll want a race that has Intelligence to start. I recommend either a sun elf or a tiefling and always select the choice that has intelligence. as for referral codes it depends on which system youre playing on. for instance I have a referral code for anyone joining on xbox. you can use my code if you like. There are plenty of dps roles to play. Ive been enjoying playing as a bard aoe dps. It has fun powers to just plow through enemies. For tank im kinda biased on the paladin since i main as one. Glad youre enjoying the game so far.

one thing i have found out that for warlocks that havent hit lvl 30 they have a soul spark machanic. which says " certian powers grant soul sparks up to a maximum of 30 and each spark increases damage by 0.25 % when out of combat with more then 6 soul sparks, a soul spark is conusumed every 0.5 secs , healing u for 0.5 % of ur hp u generate up to 6 soul sparks when out of combat this is completely pointless as u gain massive hp regen when out of combat anyways. that and there are NO powers that grant soul sparks before lvl 30 lol other then the dark ones blessing class feature which gives u 6 soul sparks when a enemy dies every ten secs like the hell? am i missing something here?

A paladin tank is a great choice since dwarf race makes use of a bulky type class. You could also go fighter class too.

Im not sure i understand "for story." You should play what feels right to you in terms of playstyle. No one can tell you how you play besides yourself. If you like these classes, you should stick with them. 👍

Rogue is a cool class, however they don't have stealth in the way i think you're thinking of. You can use smoke and daze abilities and go invisible temporarily, so its kinda stealthy but theres no sneaking around and getting surprise attacks on enemies.

So you may have left before mod 16 hit which changed alot of things. In the case of your warlock its been split into dps or healing paths. The dps is somewhat okay in terms of damage, and haven't tested out the healer side just yet. For the ranger, it has good damage along with some useful support powers. Its not great defensively though so be careful when surrounded.

Sun elf would go more effectively with clerics. You want to look at intelligence and charisma whereas sun elf uses wisdom.

yeah half orc would work well for a fighter if you plan on using it as a DPS character.

Thank you for the support! for a wizard, i would go with Tiefling. its charisma and intelligence would be very helpful, along with the Tiefling's power to increase damage based on enemy health.

Me and two other friends are downloading Neverwinter. One is set on being a drow rogue and me and the second friend don’t really mind being anything. Any advice? (Second friend leans towards more being a good tank/damage combo)

Well you have a good start with DPS rogue and a potential tank. You could try playing as a healer to valance out the party.

For tank, i like dwarf. For healer, probably either human or half-elf since their the only ones who can boost wisdom (not including premium races).

Any advice for someone completely new to this game. Been looking for a good mmorpg and this seems pretty legit. Problem is everything seems overwhelming. Not a damage guy I just want to play a fun game

My advice would be to just try it out try to learn and understand one mechanic at a time. You don't need to know all of them right at the start so no need to overwhelm yourself in the beginning. Also don't be afraid to try out new classes to get a better grasp on your playstyle. Characters are very easy to reach max level now, a couple of days even. so you can max level one, delete it and try a new one till you find the right one. I'm only suggesting that if you don't know what to play as, as it could get fairly repetitive playing the same 6 zones over and over.
